23.01.2022 See ya Barry. Brooklands brigade is sad to lose one of our members due to selling up and moving on. Barry - aka Baz - aka B2 (of our Bazza collection) has been part of our team for over 10 years now. Wishing you and Sonya a happy and healthy future. We thank you and are grateful for all your hard work volunteering with the RFS. Cheers.

20.01.2022 Over 300 acres burnt out along Mannuem Rd today. 2 helicopters, grader and multiple units . Break time... All under control now.

20.01.2022 One of our crew and local wildlife protector managed to help a female echidna out of the fire on the weekend. Mum was a little worse for wear in some spots and even threw a little puggle out of her pouch. As a crew we managed to replace it back with mum. Fingers crossed for her and bub.

19.01.2022 1.30am this morning. Urban, QAS, Stuart River RFB & Brooklands RFB were out at a fire which caused damage to property along Kumbia Rd, There's a lot of unmaintained/vacant areas with long grass around which are all vulnerable presently.

18.01.2022 Help us raise some funds towards our shed extension and enjoy live music from 5 bands who have graciously donated their time and talent. Have some free fire safety information packs and a few kids activity packs to give away on the day. *** Bring your RFB Volunteer ID badge and get in for free. ***... Kids under 10 Free entry. 16.01.2022 Our fire from almost 1 month ago is still burning underground along the creek bed. Several trees have now fallen and are smoldering along with little bits of the creek. You can see how exposed the root systems are and why these sheoak trees are alight underneath.

16.01.2022 More acreage of valuable livestock feed was lost yesterday along Haly Ck Rd Ellesmere. Fire was sparked by a grinder which moved quickly through the grass threatening a house and some structures. Unfortunately one of our own was taken to Kingaroy hospital with burns and breathing difficulties after being caught in a fire whirlwind.. Extreme dry and then add wind is a volatile combination. Another big day out, this time with a little bit of a reminder for all to take care.

14.01.2022 Brooklands and Maidenwell attended fire at Coomba Waterhole yesterday. Eastern side totally inaccessible by vehicles so air support was called in. QPS also called to stop the continuing stream of traffic and remove the gathering crowd of people wanting to head down for a dip. Rather silly of people to wander onto a fire site.

12.01.2022 Very High Fire Danger for today, clean your gutters from leaf litter, have you mowed or trimmed around your home, is your front gate wide enough for our Fire Tr...ucks to get through? 11.01.2022 Farewell BBQ last night for B2.

11.01.2022 Multiple brigades at Maidenwell along with air support on Saturday finally contained a fire in some normally inaccessible turf. Tracks pushed through with machinery was the only way in. Several trucks came out of the area with slightly bent or broken bits

05.01.2022 Just one of the many water drops from Saturday.

05.01.2022 Share this to all your FB family pls. https://gf.me/u/y9g86m

01.01.2022 Another outing today with multiple units including urban along Kumbia Rd. Grass fire was eventually contained. 1 small wooden structure lost along the back of a property, but thankfully no residential damage. Big day out for all, everyone home safe and sound is the main thing. Thanks to all involved.
