The Shire of Brookton has opened nominations until Wednesday, 9th December, and are looking for six (6) motivated people to advise Council concerning current Book of Idea applications. Previously advisory group members have assisted the Council to benefit the community in the following ways: - Brookton Bike Track - New Brookton entry signage - Upgrade of the recreation precinct - in motion now - Youth Group facility - in planning - Brookton Community Garden - Men's Shed new building - in planning - Upgrade of the Brookton Caravan Park - commencing shortly - Chalet accommodation (disability access) - expected to start in the new year

06.01.2022 The Shire of Brookton would like to offer congratulations to the Aldersyde Hall Committee and Volunteers on their successful application for funding through the FRRR Communities Tackling Drought grant program. On 27th November 2020: The foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR) has awarded $1,454.165 in grant for 41 community-led projects that will help tackle the challenges that drought-communities across Australia, including Aldersyde, continue to face through it's award-winning grants program. https://www.frrr.org.au/cb_pa/news/tttt_r18_recipients.php
