21.01.2022 It’s getting hot in here! We think these hotties would look pretty flaming good as a ‘garden campfire’. What do you think? CRASSULA CAMPFIRE: a showy succulent with branching, fleshy leaves that mature from light green to bright red. Grow in a sunny position in well-draining soil. A hardy and drought tolerant plant once established (around 12 weeks). Be careful not to over-water, it won’t like having soggy roots. Water only when dry once established. It will make an excellent ground cover and is ideal for planting in rockeries.

18.01.2022 MELALEUCA ‘CLARET TOPS’ is in full flower at the Nursery and the birds are absolutely loving it! Unfortunately, the photos don’t really do it justice, but it does look spectacular when it’s in flower. This melaleuca is a hardy, drought and frost tolerant shrub. It gets lovely claret coloured new foliage which is where it gets its name. In spring and summer, it’s covered in gorgeous cream/white flowers. Melaleuca ‘claret tops’ is an excellent low maintenance native shrub to add to any garden.

18.01.2022 Check out these blooming beauties!!

18.01.2022 Today’s #FruityFriday is all about stone fruit (drupe). A drupe, or stone fruit, is defined as a fruit with an outer fleshy part surrounding a central stone. Most stone fruit trees are frost tolerant, however, late frosts may destroy the flowers. Plant them in full sun, in a well-draining soil, and protect them from strong winds. Heavy or clay soils can be improved by adding gypsum and organic matter before planting. It’s all peachy in this home among the gum trees with lots of plum trees, nectarines, apricots and cherries... because we’ve got apricot, plum, peach, nectarine and cherry trees all in stock

10.01.2022 We’ve got some colourful new plants in stock that are perfect for hanging baskets. Fuchsias are stunning in hanging baskets but can also be planted out in the garden. Plant them in part-shade to full-shade, protecting them from hot midday and afternoon sun. Fuchsia flowers are a bit fragile and will also need protection from strong winds. Bacopa plants look fantastic in hanging baskets but are also great as a ground cover in the garden. Plant them in full-sun to light-shade in a slightly acidic, well draining soil. If you’re in need of a hanging basket to show off one of these beauties, we sell those too
