25.01.2022 Everyone loves pizza right? Well I hope they do because the BSA is buying pizza for the players and helpers on Friday night. We might need a hand picking them up, so if you can help out please let me know. Everyone is welcome to join us, even if you are not staying in the recreation centre - just let me know so I can get enough pizza. 22.01.2022 Cost Update: The Broome Soccer Association has agreed to subsidise this trip by $2,500 which along with the $500 from the Broome Sports Association has covered almost half the costs of the trip. While we are still waiting for the stragglers to hand in forms, but costs look like being: Broome Soccer Association Playing Shirt and Jacket - $40... Travel to/from and around on 45 seat coach with driver - $175 Accommodation - Free Optional shorts and socks from Sportspower - $35 you pay on pick up at Sportspower Meal on first night - BSA to cover All other meals - $100 should cover it. The Left and Right backs can join the attack to support the attack. They must also come back and defend too of course as should the 3 midfielders. These 5 players do a lot of running.... 15.01.2022 I am sure the players will not forget their lovely new BSA shirts and jackets, but please dont forget the rest of their kit! Shin pads are mandatory - you cannot play without them. That also goes for shorts, long socks and boots... It would be a shame to go all that way and not be able to play!

12.01.2022 So the Pilbara Championships are over for another year. Well done to all the players - you did your town proud! For those that are interested... Football West Country Week is held annually and attracts over 1,000 players, coaches, volunteers and spectators for a week long football extravaganza. It is the pinnacle tournament for Broomes youth players and can lead to them being selected to play for Football West in international tournaments. Broome is looking to take an U15s... squad to Country Week 2019, Perth, 30th September to 5th October. The cost of this trip is around $1,500. Those players that would like to try out for the U15s can come to training this Sunday 2.15-3.30 BRAC. Also, if there are players in other age groups that would be interested in playing for other associations at Country Week can they also please let us know. We can put them forward as a pool player and they would be playing with another association. We cant be certain if or which association would want them. Just as a note, we are moving to our new premises from 1pm Saturday hopefully reopening on Thursday. We will have NO sales available during this time. ... Short and Black socks will be put aside in a box for your team. If you could please contact those who are after apparel, that would be greatly appreciated.

09.01.2022 News Just in from Newman ... Hi Guys Pilbara Champs arent far away now - here is a little info about the weekend. ... We have secured accommodation for you at the Rec Centre - Broome, Karratha and Tom Price will all be staying there, all in separate spaces. The kitchen toilets and showers are all shared. Each town needs to be self sufficient, needing to bring your own swag/mattress, bedding etc there is a small kitchenette that has a kettle and fridge, you will need to provide your own breakfast, including plastic bowls, plates and whatever else you may need. The Gym is in walking distance to both the ovals where the games are played and the town square where we will be sharing dinner and a movie on the Saturday night. Players and coaches will be given wrist bands for the Saturday night meal, with a choice of fish n chips, hamburger or fried chicken with noodles or fried rice. They will also receive a drink. Parents/siblings are welcome to purchase a meal band from the canteen during the day for $10 which will entitles them to the same. A movie will be played on the big screen and popcorn drinks and lollies will be available for purchase. On the Friday night we will have a basic canteen running thanks to our year 6 parents fundraising for camp. We will also have the Chicken Treat van at the oval over the weekend. I have attached their menu and they are happy to take lunch orders for teams/towns - please get in contact with them directly. We will also have a fully operational canteen all day Saturday - this event comes at a huge cost to our association so please support our canteen along the way! Friday dinner and Saturday lunches are each towns own responsibility to arrange, as said Chicken Treat will be onsite and our canteen open, you can also order platters from Subway, IGA and Woolworths. All needing 3 days notice. Pitstop and the Newman Hotel do Pizza and burgers etc, as does the Caltex and KG Thai are also available. Our opening ceremony will be held at 5pm on the Friday followed by a coaches/managers and referee meeting at 5:30. We have 2 fixtured U11s games that will start at 6pm. We are just waiting on approval from Football West before sending out fixtures - they shouldnt be far away. We understand everyone has a long way to travel but would appreciate you all attending the opening ceremony regardless of if you are fixtured to play or not. We have 33 games to get through on the Saturday so games will start at 8am with 2 fields for each age group running. Some game times have been shortened both to get all games played and also for player welfare. Unfortunately with so many towns attending all teams will be playing back to back games somewhere possibly more. We have tried our hardest to make it as fair as possible, fixtures definitely kept me up at night! We will have a first aid post and water available to fill your bottles along with a shade allocated to each town.
