25.01.2022 One Week until Race Day! The 2020 PIVITAL Cable Beach Triathlon is only one week away. Heres what you need to know.... 1. Tomorrow Sunday 23rd 6:30-8:30am we will be holding a practice event, bike racks will be set up in the Surf Club Car Park and everyone is welcome to come down and suss out the course and have a chat about what to expect next Sunday.... 2. Race pack collection is FRIDAY 28th August 6pm-8pm at the Sundowner event at Broome Lotteries House. Collect race pack and/or stay for a BBQ dinner an meet the Professional Athletes who have traveled to Broome for our event. 3. Sunday 30th August is race day! Transition will be open from 5:30am for bike racking and gear lay out. 4. Entries close on Wednesday, so if you have friends who are on the fence you have until then to talk them around! Check out the Athlete Guide on the website for all race start times, course routes and full schedule. Held at the conclusion of main races, the will be raced on Cable Beach, swimming in shallow water and riding along the beach (no fat bikes needed the sand should be pretty firm), before finishing through our DRS Race Arch in front of the Surf Club. All finishers receive a medal and there are some great prizes to be won. 02.01.2022 COVID-19 Virtual Tri-ers, all steamed up for Race 6, starting tomorrow 21 August? Join us at Transition Tri-out Sunday morning to have a go at a Transition, and prep for the big one on Sunday 30th. This weeks race is your chance to fine-tune your times for the 30th, but dont wreck yourself! Remember our last race, Race 7, starts on Sept 11, and we finish up with a bbq at the Surf Club Bar on the afternoon of Friday 18th. There will be spot prizes and special prizes as well as the regular category awards! Everyone needs to be celebrated for staying the virtual course this COVID season.
