BioR is a local, non-profit organisation that generates funds, knowledge and practical skills to reconstruct habitats that support native wildlife in degraded landscapes. Reconstructing habitat goes beyond planting trees, beyond offsetting carbon, and requires more complex habitat features to be created. In doing so, we can prevent the on-going declines and losses of our wildlife and grow biodiversity for all future generations to enjoy. ... Money raised for BioR through Brother Bear Cafe’s Coin for Community Initiative will be used to help fund our 2021 plantings at Frahns Farm, a 550 ha property near Monarto, which has been set aside for conservation because it has considerable value for grassy woodland restoration and as habitat for declining woodland birds. BioR, in collaboration with Landscapes SA Murraylands and Riverland, is continuing to reconstruct habitat on this property and monitor the outcomes for our wildlife. If you’d like more information or to get involved in our hands-on community days, please check out our website (www.bior.org.au) and follow us on social media.
