24.01.2022 Congratulations to Katie on her award Div 2 Ladies Players Player - a fantastic effort throughout the season. Another huge congratulations goes to Grace who was awarded both the Wally Bull Award and the Bernie Murray Award, such an outstanding achievement for one of our Juniors playing Seniors! We were very fortunate to have a large number of our life members attend our dinner on Friday night. They form such an important part of our Club’s History and we were so glad they could make it. How fantastic it was to have Bernie Murray present his award to Grace.

19.01.2022 A huge congratulations to our final award winners that were unable to make presentation night, but we managed to track them down at Summer Hockey on Wednesday night. Joseph Dixon who was awarded the Mick Hart Most Promising Junior playing Senior Men. Congratulations on a great season. Nathan Doherty (a very deserving recipient)was awarded both the Ross Fazel Award for most valuable player in Div 2 men and the Frank Dowd Memorial Award for Best and Fairest Div 1 Men. A very big thank you for your contribution to our club, senior men’s teams and also mentoring our junior players.
18.01.2022 We didn’t quite get through all of our award winners - a big conrgratulations to David Moore for winning the Ces Johnstone Masters Sportsmanship Award. Somehow he managed to escape his photograph! Also on the night - but couldn’t make it: Cameron Nicol was awarded Players Player in the Div 2 Men... Rodney Dowd was awarded the Ray Hooper Most Valuable Player Award in the Masters Men’s Team. Well done everyone - a great effort!!

12.01.2022 GRAND FINALS LIVE STREAM Our finals are going to livestream this weekend on the Townsville Bulletin and may even appear on the State paper’s website, The C...ourier Mail. This is a step up for us and we thank them for their partnership. The link here announces our partnership, which is coming at no cost to the association. However, to watch the games, you’ll need to be a Bulletin subscriber. Currently the deal is $1 a week for the first 12 weeks (so $12 total and 3 months’ coverage before you can end the sub). If you click the link to the story and are not a subscriber, it will take you to the paywall, to sign up. Your subscription will give you access to the Courier Mail and other NewsCorp (eg. 08.01.2022 FIELD IRRIGATION UPDATE Our facilities team of volunteers have been working on installing the field irrigation with trenches dug and construction well under...way. If you have any irrigation experience and are able to volunteer some time tomorrow (Saturday 12th December) from 7am, please come down to the Hawks and Bears field to lend a hand. The cost savings we have achieved with the facilities team volunteering their time, means we will now be able to irrigate both the Hawks and Bears field with the grant funds received.
