23.01.2022 LET'S GET SOCIAL - 8 AUGUST 2020 The Roos’ Social Committee invites players and supporters to our Beer Pong and Silent Disco Event. This will be held after our ...home game matches vs. Glenmore Bulls on Saturday 8 August. $20 will get you entry to both or $10 each. You must be over 18 years of age to participate in Beer Pong. There will be a free BBQ feed from 5:30pm. All those in attendance will need to be mindful of COVID-Safe guidelines. A big thank you to Seniors player Blair Grice for running the Silent Disco! 22.01.2022 CLUSTER DAY This Sunday (16 August) the Roos are hosting Cluster Day at Kele Park. All the Junior teams (under 7.5s, 9.5s, 11.5s) from around the region will play a Round Robin style competition before finishing with a free popper and sausage on bread. Yum!... The canteen will be operating throughout the morning, offering bacon & egg burgers, pies, sausage rolls, chicken & gravy rolls, hot chips, snacks and cold drinks. 22.01.2022 JUNIORS CAN RETURN TO PLAY! Local clubs have been given the all clear to commence Junior training and games. AFL Capricornia is proposing a 6-week fixture (venues: Stenlake Park and Rockhampton Cricket Ground) with 2 Cluster Days (1 at Kele Park, the other in the Gladstone region), with Round 1 commencing Friday 24 July 2020. Fixture information will be published in the coming days.... If your child is keen to play some footy with the Joeys this year, please consider the following options: 1. NEW TO AFL? Try Auskick! This is an 8-week program designed to introduce youngsters to the skills and fitness required for AFL through non-contact activities and fun games. Try to get there a bit earl...ier to do the COVID sign on - or scan - or have COVID safe app on your phone to make it through the gate quick and painless. Canteen food will be available.

17.01.2022 WELL DONE JOEYS! The Joeys had their second Cluster Day today in Gladstone and from the photos you can see what a ripper event it was! There are great numbers and talent coming through the juniors, we can't wait to see what 2021 brings! A big 'thank you' must go to coaches Craige McWhirter (U11.5s), Lachie Bateman (U9.5s) and Scott 'Foo' Smithwick (U7.5s) who have done a stellar job facilitating fun training sessions each week and coordinating great games on Friday nights. ... Special mention must also be made to our new Junior Coordinator Breeha Sinnamon, who has transitioned into the role with grace and a skill set that has benefited the club immensely. She has been excellent support for Pam Waine (Vice President: Juniors), who has overseen preparations and ongoing organisation of the Junior fixtures. Thanks ladies for everything you have done for the Joeys this season! Thank you to the Joeys families who have travelled around Rockhampton and to Gladstone over these past few months supporting their sons’ and daughters' footy journey. We will conclude the 2020 Season on Thursday 17 September at our break up at Kele Park.
