21.01.2022 Part 5 of the EAGLES Post-Season TRIVIA. Some incredible records featured so far but this one will be hard to beat. Senior Colt Max Marchant and his family only moved to Port Broughton from Darwin at the start of the year and he had never even kicked an AFL ball before. Coach Trev Sims talked him into playing and the rest is a club record. 17 games for 17 wins @ 100%, including a premiership.... Hopefully he puts this amazing record at risk and goes on next season. 18.01.2022 We would like to offer our condolences to the Hewett Family on the passing of Ron (RF), the Bowley family on the passing of Cyril and the Kerley family on the p...assing of Kerry. Eagle Catering has been asked the cater light refreshments for all three funerals. Cyril Bowley’s funeral will be held on Monday 26thOct at 11am at the cemetery, returning to the Sporting Club for refreshments. Kerry Kerley’s funeral will be held on Tuesday 27thOct at 1.30pm at cemetery, then returning to the Sporting Club for refreshments. Ron Hewett’s funeral will be held on Friday 30thOct at 11am at Town Hall, Cemetery, then returning to the Sporting Club for refreshments. The convener for the catering will be Joanne Edwards. If you are able to assist in any way, please comment below. We are seeking donations of the below: Savoury, Sweet, Monetary donations, Volunteers to set up and Clean up. 17.01.2022 Are you keen to lend a hand in the upcoming weeks at the Footy Club? Are you a retired tiler, builder, painter, or just handy with a paintbrush or shovel? We could use you!! We have lots of jobs to do and would welcome any volunteer help. No one is too old or too young! We have a list of jobs to be done to finish off our new BBQ room, bathroom and landscape in front of our new change rooms. Some jobs can be done at your own leisure and other jobs will be achieved as a group at busy bees. (dates to be set) Please register your interest by ringing Leigh on 0429 955 431 and he can coordinate times and jobs that suit you. Spread the word to anyone you think may be keen. Thank you.

08.01.2022 Part 4 of the EAGLES Post-Season TRIVIA. Sticking to the run of the SIMS family and claiming flags we turn to the only player who has won a premiership in every grade for BMFC. Junior Colts - 1991. Senior Colts - 1993.... B Grade - 2009. A Grade - 1996, 1997, 2000. A great playing career, and this doesn’t even touch on his role as the Runner in several other flags! Well done MATT SIMS.

04.01.2022 Jase Dalling posted this on his page: Desiccating some of the Broughton Mundoora Football Club lentils this evening with Scrooge Hewett coming in to do the rest tomorrow. They’re no bin buster but have vastly improved since I sprayed in July. Still a few $ to be made thanks to all the land owners around Broughton that allow the footy club to crop on their properties, without them the fundraising woud be a massive job. Thank you to Neville & Denise Spackman, Jason Dunstan, Patrick & Melissa Cook, Rhys Colquhoun, Richard & Wendy Arbon, Barry & Sharon Arthur, Marc Taylor and Pat & Des Arbon BMFC would also like to thank all of the volunteers that contribute to the cropping program.
