25.01.2022 Been away from the page for a bit whilst the world goes through it's craziness. It's very quiet on the rally front given I haven't attended an event since last years Alpine - but all pretty insignificant between everything else going on in the world right now. Just want to give a big thumbs up to everyone working to try and get some events up and running this year after some recent cancellations and shifting of events. Hard enough job in a normal environment but in the COVID ...world even trickier. I hope everyone is keeping safe and well and hopefully everyone can keep safe, be smart we can get back on top of this virus and get just a little bit of normal again. (Photo of Alan Friend & Michelle Canning at last years Akademos round - unfortunately going to be missing from this years calendar.) Browne Bear Photography

25.01.2022 THROWBACK THURSDAY! The latest rally flashbacks popping up in my feed are Coffs Harbour back in 2013 for Rally Australia. The dust was crazy that year. I think they'd pushed out to 3 minute gaps between the WRC cars by Sunday. Was awesome seeing an Aussie driving in the top class - with Nathan Quinn running the incredible sounding Mini through the stages. Good memories. Coffs Coast Rally Team... Browne Bear Photography

24.01.2022 THROWBACK THURSDAY! Hugh Harmer in his Commodore at the 2017 Alpine Rally of East Gippsland (with a slight passenger window issue). Browne Bear Photography

19.01.2022 Just quickly wishing everyone a safe and happy Christmas/New Year. It was a completely rubbish year for Victoria, it’s impact on Motorsport (along with everything else) which impacted my photography and this page content too! That being said, the page went past 1500 followers this year and I still got to speak and have the rare in person catch up with people from the rallying community. Thanks to everyone’s support this year and I hope to see you all (hopefully with more photos than this year) in 2021!

18.01.2022 THROWBACK THURSDAY! Rally Victoria in 2012 and Jack Monkhouse in the RallySchool Australia Evo on '0' duties. Crazy quick including catching one of the classics on Saturday from memory! Browne Bear Photography

18.01.2022 Taylor Gill testing for the 2020 season.

17.01.2022 THROWBACK THURSDAY! WRC returns this weekend for the first time in a long time. Looking forward to seeing what happens in Estonia, particularly after such a long lay off. Photo: Al Qawari/Duffy at WRC Rally Australia in 2013. Browne Bear Photography

17.01.2022 FLASHBACK FRIDAY! Scouts Rally SA in 2013 and some ominous clouds coming in over the beautiful landscape, as Michael Boaden & Helen Cheers fire through this corner in the VW. Browne Bear Photography

15.01.2022 The tough decision has been made to cancel the 2020 Victorian Rally Championship, but understandable given we were looking at a maximum of 2 rounds and Victoria's COVID rules aren't exactly making those rounds a certainty! Hoping we can get on top of this thing and we get at least 2 awesome stand alone events in Victoria this year, and a fantastic championship ready to go again in 2021. 15.01.2022 THROWBACK THURSDAY! Bit of a weird sight on the rally stages, but International Rally of Queensland in 2012 where Australian cricketer Michael Clarke had a drive on a couple of stages in a BP branded Mitsubishi Evo. Browne Bear Photography

13.01.2022 Got the flashback a few days ago that it's been four years since the last time I got across to South Australia. Cracker of an event, even while impacted some bad weather but a field of some of Australia's best. Be good to get back across there one day. Browne Bear Photography

13.01.2022 Rainy days, lockdown and computer tidy ups mean you find some older photos to throw up. Here's a few from the ARC round in Canberra in 2013, the National Capital Rally. Browne Bear Photography

11.01.2022 In a rescheduled COVID safe environment, thankfully Andrew Paice and his team managed to make the HRA's annual event at Bagshot happen. GLORIOUS! GLORIOUS! GLORIOUS!!! dust was present for the morning runs before typical Victorian rally weather kicked in for the afternoon to show the definition of changeable conditions! Congrats to Jason & Alan Lennane for taking the win in their Proton. As has happened a few times when I've attended, Brendon Paynting took out the fastest tim...es over the day in his WRX (not eligible being 4WD). Some more to come.... 11.01.2022 5 years on! Fantastic event. Can’t wait for a rally in Victoria again...

11.01.2022 After 364 days between rallies for myself, Victoria finally got out of COVID lockdowns and got a rally to happen in 2020. It couldn't have gone ahead without an incredibly persistent organizing team who kept pushing forward, even when a week out from the event, restrictions could have stopped it from occurring. Some rubbish weather welcomed crews on the day, but thankfully that was offset by fantastic roads and some great cars and driving.... Congrats to Darren Windus & Joe Brick for taking a commanding win in their Subaru. More photos to come... Give the page a 'like' to keep up to date! Browne Bear Photography

07.01.2022 Turns out I still had a few more photos from the 2019 Alpine Rally of East Gippsland I wanted to put up - so only 10ish months later, they're up! Feel free to tag anyone you know in there as Facebook and (NEW Facebook) seem to be having some issues.

07.01.2022 Crazy to think that at the start of this year, this weekend was due to be the Victorian ARC and also a VRC round, the Eureka Rush! Fingers still crossed Victoria gets it together and we get some rally action this year. Appropriate more recent Thursday Throwback to last years Eureka Rush - and Arron Windus & Daniel Brkic on the closing stages of the event in the Subaru. Browne Bear Photography

05.01.2022 FLASHBACK FRIDAY! Another one from the spectator zones - Kim Begelhole & Mal Horbrough on the Lardner Park super special at Rally Victoria in 2013. Kim Moomintroll Browne Bear Photography

04.01.2022 Phil Thomas in the Lock and Load Transport Escort during some testing at the start of 2020 seemed appropriate to put up - after my phone 'memories' section began taunting me with video of it from last year's Valley Stages testing, with the added salt in the wound of today being the original date for this year's Valley Stages event. Feel fortunate I got to a couple of test days early this year given we've had rallying in Victoria since. Hopefully Valley Stages 2020 can go ahead and Victoria gets some rallying action.

04.01.2022 Very clear that I'm missing rallying a lot, and seeing photos and videos from last week in Batemans Bay and the nearby testing certainly didn't help! Seemed appropriate to showcase Darren Windus & Joe Brkic who took a fantastic 3rd place behind the 2 Toyota AP4's in his Subaru. (Photograph from VRC Akademos 2019) Browne Bear Photography

04.01.2022 Unexpected quick trip up to the awesome Bagshot autocross track after a last minute relocation of the Australian Rally Championship Test day ahead of the 2020 season, giving crews a chance to try the Hoosier tyres and shakedown their machines! Looking forward to the 2020 championship! Browne Bear Photography

03.01.2022 Some more quick throwback shots - The ARC round of Rally Victoria in 2012.

03.01.2022 A few randoms...

03.01.2022 Photos from the 2019 Alpine Rally of East Gippsland. This years edition had it's challenges, with bushfires in the Bruthen area not far from the Lakes Entrance base meaning the cancellation of some Friday stages and the entirety of Sunday. The organisers did a fantastic job of getting the event to still go ahead with all the issues put to them! Friday saw some proper dust at a Victorian Rally for the first time in a while, but Saturday true Victorian weather came through with... an absolute downpour! Like the 2017 Alpine, the organisers were left with the tough but understandable decision to cancel a couple of the stages. Despite the drama, another fantastic event, highlighted by a supreme drive from Nathan Quinn & Ray Winwood-Smith in the Mazda RX2 to take a great win. Thanks to all the organisers and officials for braving the conditions. Please give the page a 'like' to keep up to date, and feel free to tag & share as Facebook has changed some settings making no longer possible to tag people in photos myself.
