25.01.2022 Our cake display fridge is currently in need of repair, however everything that is usually inside it is still available! Please don't hesitate to ask when you come in! Sponge cake with jam & cream Mudcake Cream buns... Caramel slice Caramel & macadamia slice Lemon meringue Apple turnover Butterfly cakes All of these are still available and being served straight from the cool room!

Fresh baked bread Pies and sausage rolls Cakes Bread rolls PLEASE do not only focus your attention on what you can or cannot get at the supermarkets when small businesses are now relying on people more than ever to survive. I look forward to seeing our regulars today albeit swiftly.

23.01.2022 Brown Sugar Bakery is operating as usual. We of course are, as usual, taking measures to lessen the risk of exposure to any illnesses. We will operate until the... time we are told we are unable to operate any longer. We will try our best to keep the ingredients for the range of fresh made food stocked so we can continue to provide our full bakery range. We just made a flour order and that is coming is as usual - So bread will not be in short supply. If you or anyone you know are elderly or have a disability - Please do not hesitate to contact us and we can do our best to help organize a way for you to stay fed in the safest way possible. The most important thing right now is to look after yourselves and look after each other!

15.01.2022 We do not have a limit on what our customers can buy of each item in the bakery. The only rule we have is just don't be selfish... The items here are not long life, we are open every day until we cannot be - You will not miss out and no one else should have to either.

15.01.2022 We are changing! Brown Sugar Bakery will close temporarily from 14th February and reopen approx 2 weeks later with a new look, feel and range. New owners, Paul & Julie Maddock are excited to be bringing a new range of artisan breads to the bakery as well as a lot of your old favourites. We are looking forward to meeting all our customers. 08.01.2022 We have had a small mishap this morning & our pie warmer has stopped working. Pies & sausage rolls are still available as we have put our oven on a controlled 90 degree temperature and are serving them straight from the oven. We have purchased a new pie warmer and will be picking it up today and be back in action by tomorrow!... Thanks for your understanding

08.01.2022 Good morning everybody, Just a few updates out of Brown Sugar! We are still open and everything that has been operating is still operating. We have put some new measures in place; just like a lot of retail stores at the moment we have some crosses on the ground - Being that our shop is rather small - We have TWO crosses for customer distancing, so we please ask that every customer respects these crosses while also working with the size of our shop and exercises common courtes...y and common sense. If you see two customers already inside the shop, please just wait outside while maintaining a safe distance from other patrons who may already be waiting. I will serve every customer as quick as I possibly can so I do not leave people waiting outside for too long. Thank you for your understanding and your patience. We are still open 6 days a week and due to the current circumstances our opening hours are: Monday: 5am - 5pm Tuesday: 5am - 5pm Wednesday: 5am - 5pm Thursday: 5am - 5pm Friday: 5am - 4pm Saturday: 5am - 3pm There is definitely still enough for everybody!
