24.01.2022 This might have been my favourite cake for 2020 yet!! I wasn't given a brief for this cake. Just the words for the topper to work with to celebrate a new home my customer and her family had moved into just 3 days prior in the hills. As I took a moment to plan and design this cake, I drew inspiration from autumn (my absolute favourite time of the year) and how the leaves in the Adelaide Hills turn into magnificent colours before they fall and signify a new season where they... will grow as a family. 04.01.2022 Hello and Happy New Year! So many new sweet followers so thought it was time I came on here to say hello & get better acquainted with you My name is Debra but no one really calls me that. I go mostly by Deb. This is my little family - Mr BSL and my 3 kids who will be 4 and 2 in March/April. Yes, I am a twin mumma if you worked that out I started Brown Sugared Love in 2016 as a side business to my full time job. 2020 was the first year I ran it as a full time business.... I used to work in a laboratory before following my true passion for cake. I still love science though (I'm still a nerd at heart ). I have a 'healthy' obsession with tea and socks Mr BSL thinks I have a problem with cookie cutters and sprinkles. But one can never have too many right? Tell me something interesting about yourself!
