17.01.2022 This shot resonates with me so much! It’s probably a bit revealing but I think it tells and shows the story of trying to balance it all. Hair at all angles, baby feeding & a toddler running around my feet. What it doesn’t show is the glass of wine that was waiting for me after that feed haha! To me it represents the struggle of trying to be there for both kids & hold my shit together. Mum guilt is a thing & the Pendulum of Guilt swings between both children. How can I spen...d enough time with tilda & be present with her whilst nursing & caring for a newborn? And how can I ever finish a feed with Polly & engage in her developments when I have a toddler that needs me. I’m so lucky because I have an amazing network, whether it be my mum and sister via FaceTime, my in-laws, my friends that fill up my freezer & give me emotional support or my wonderful husband that is so hands on? I am so humbled by everyone’s kindness, generosity & their shoulders which I have cried on many times. Being a new mum is tough but having a baby with a rare heart condition makes it even harder. Pollys battle is only just starting but she has us rallying behind her, fierce & strong. Throw in the usual insecurities after having a newborn about whether they are getting enough milk & enough sleep & it can send you doolaly! I’ve had some dark moments since Pollys birth & the tears sometimes still surface. In the early stages I was worried I didn’t have enough milk for her, I think I had literally cried all the fluid out of my body! BUT my babies, my family, my friends & my love for my work are what keeps this heart FULL. I’ll always be honest and I’ll always try my best to do the right thing by others. 2020: it’s an opportunity for a new start as a new family & to have a new business venture. My skills, whilst they maybe on a little break at the moment will come back with full gusto & I can’t wait to share it with you. 13.01.2022 Happy new year from me to you! This year certainly has brought some hurdles for our little family. I know I wouldn’t have gotten through it if it weren’t for the support from Peter, my friends & family and the amazingness of our health system. The whole way through my pregnancy with Polly, my mind was obscured by sadness, loneliness & no tolerance for anything. And to be honest I was stuck in a never ending loop of feeling sorry for myself. Fast forward 9 months of baby growi...ng & our little bundle arrived only for her to force us into a state of panic, worry & a shit ton of tears. She has brought on the biggest array of emotions & I’m glad to say that I’m ending the year with joy, love & hope in my heart. I find it so easy to dwell, to worry and to let my anxiety take over. It’s not necessarily unwarranted sometimes but I know that I can try to manage it better. I’ve learnt that trauma can bring you closer together. Peter and I are the closest we have ever been (regardless of how much we drive each other bonkers), & I don’t think I’ve ever felt so close to my family and friends. But the main thing I want to focus on is my gratitude. We live in a country where we have the best in the medical industry on hand to us. Every person I dealt with in hospital after Pollys birth was meant to be there. Their dedication, empathy and tolerance at such a trying time was amazing and I can’t actually put into words my appreciation & fondness for every doctor, nurse, volunteer that we met. 2020 is coming. Its important to not solely rely on a new year to bring change and happiness but I do believe it’s an opportunity to recalibrate the way we think. I want that, I need that & I can’t wait for that. I am a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a friend and more than anything, Im just me & I’m happy about that. I hope 2019 was kind to u & I hope 2020 offers opportunities & everything u need & hope for xxx See more

12.01.2022 SMILE! This is such a confronting & challenging world we are living in right now & I for one, have been finding it tough and my outlook has been pretty dark and bleak. I live in Erskineville which is a small, friendly community and I know I’ve been struggling with not being able to get out amongst it with the kids. And when I do, everyone is heads down, side glancing and it’s almost like we are all suspicious of each other. I get it, we have to keep a distance for safety reas...ons, I want to protect my babies as much as possible. BUT, I went for a walk this morning (by myself which was wonderful haha) and I made it my purpose to smile & say a good morning to everyone I passed (at 1.5m distance of course!). People smiled back and even said hiya back....My mood for today has changed. We may have to keep our distance physically but a smile bridges that gap and brings us closer and unites us! Do IT! smile when you see someone and remind them we are in this together. Love u all xx See more

11.01.2022 On 7th Oct we welcomed our beautiful Polly Ophelia Budnik to the world. She is as cute as a button and Tildypops is loving her big sister role (at the moment!!). Polly sure has kept us on our toes by being a resident at NICU in Westmead & RPA with heart complications. She has been an absolute trooper and whilst it is still an unknown as to what her condition will entail, this baby is mighty lucky to have had the support and love from family and friends. She is now home with us and we are so grateful to be our little family unit. Everyday this little nugget gets stronger and stronger. 05.01.2022 T H A N K Y O U for welcoming me back into the wonderful world of work. It feels fabulous to return to what I love and I really have felt lost without it. Covid has effected us all differently and I have definitely struggled. Whilst it has been special to spend extra time with my girls, the loss of control doesn’t sit well with me. I am organised, structured & have my ducks lined up 99% of the time. But since having Polly, it sure has shown me that things don’t always go t...o plan. I’ll be honest, I was relying on work to bring back some normality and because it has such a big chunk of my heart, a part of ME was missing. But I’m BACK! And whilst it’s frustrating because I can’t work to full capacity due to daycare restrictions, I’m loving seeing you...I just wish I could give you a hug!
