16.01.2022 Was just going through old photos (as you do) and this came up from September last year. This is Diana & Adrian rehearsing their first dance at Crown before the guests were seated. Plainly, social distancing was a thing even back then, but I love the fingertip touch and the eye contact. Additionally, this shot shows why you should probably never choose to let your DJ and MC take your wedding pictures as well... Stay safe and well everyone x

16.01.2022 Here's a real blast from the past - my DJ set up when I first started my business back in 2005. That bar across the top weighed a ton and would rarely fit in a lift. I handmade that console from MDF and I would constantly scone myself on those big silver lights. Despite the arduous set up and pack down (which took nearly three hours), it was still my own equipment - before this I used to scrounge around in the back of a hot, smelly, spider-infested shipping container hiring everything from another DJ company. Happy to say that 14 years later and my set up is a lot more simple but I've learned the valuable lesson that no matter how good your gear is, if you can't read a dance-floor, if you're not taking requests and if you don't love what you do, you should probably be doing something else. 12.01.2022 One of the things I'm most passionate about in my line of work (which, incidentally, I'm quite passionate about) is meeting up in person with the people with whom I will be creating one of the most memorable and enjoyable days of their lives. It's something I've always done and I've never, ever charged anyone a cent for it. And I never, ever will. There's nothing important to me than getting a feel of exactly what my couples are looking for when planning their wedding day ...- and that's something that I don't believe can be done over a phonecall or email. Believe me, in the end it's so, so worth it... "Hey Bruce, Thank you so much for taking the time today to meet with Tash & I. We left your place feeling really positive and excited to have you as our MC & DJ for our big day. We left with a lot of clarity around things that we were unsure about in regards to the run sheet and how everything was going to work so we really appreciate you walking us through all that."

08.01.2022 I'm not a bloggy kind of guy, but I think it's timely to make an announcement about the recent developments around the wedding industry and, in particular, my approach to existing bookings. Firstly - it's business as usual. I will continue in my capacity as a wedding DJ and MC for all bookings going forward. That's the most important thing. To be there for people. Secondly, if anyone needs to postpone, there's absolutely no penalty for that. I have an online calendar on my... website where you can check my availability without having to send off an email and wait for days to hear back. And finally, if your wedding is simply not able to be postponed and there's no alternative - you'll get every single cent of your money back. In full. No questions asked. And that's the way it is. As always, I'm here to help, assist, listen and advise if and when needed. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Unless of course I'm at a wedding... :) Stay safe, be well and remember - this isn't forever.
