23.01.2022 42 days is not nearly long enough for cruelly killing 10 emus using a vehicle. Penalties for animal cruelty need systematic review.
22.01.2022 This is racing (mixed with Live Export)
21.01.2022 No quotas required at the AJP...all our candidates are selected on merit, resulting in the highest ratio of female candidates of any party.
18.01.2022 Yes, Victoria should ban duck shooting...as a vast majority of Victorians agree.
18.01.2022 Again...and again...and again.
16.01.2022 Just back from seeing the premiere in Melbourne of the Game Changers. Having James Cameron finance and direct a film showing the health benefits of a plant based diet ensures that you will remain entertained and moved by what you see and hear. Great to see athletes of many disciplines changing the game and stealing the march on their rivals through better nutrition. Big shoutout to Damien Mander of IAPF and the other Australian athletes featured. Everyone should see this film...especially in schools.
14.01.2022 Congratulations to our sister party the Animal Welfare Party in the UK, who ran on Thursday and whose vote went up across the board. Sadly, their chance of winning a seat in a 'first past the post' electoral system is slim, but we know they are doing all they can to win political leverage for animals.
13.01.2022 9 out of 10 people are concerned about animal welfare in farming. If they want better outcomes for animals, just vote for it #Vote1AJP
12.01.2022 So proud of our newest MP. She is going to make some changes in that place...
11.01.2022 Our most recent MP talks to Tom Switzer at the ABC about her experiences in parliament. Great job Emma.
10.01.2022 Thanks to all our fantastic volunteers across the whole country. Now we settle in to see what happens tonight. Whatever happens, I am so proud to be part of this mob...we are magnificent.
10.01.2022 Proud to be a part of this mob
09.01.2022 They friggin' love their horses though. Great work by the Coalition for Protection of Racehorses and the ABC to expose the slaughter of thousands of horses after racing. We will not be letting this moment go without government action.
09.01.2022 No, we do not recommend people vote for Peter Dutton. Fake HTVs, a new low by a desperate government
05.01.2022 This last weekend’s election was quite disappointing. Not for what happened to the AJP specifically, but for what it means to the country, and particularly animals, over the next term. We are devastated for them. Not everything should be doom and gloom. There were some amazing new successes (noting that counting has not yet been completed, and may not be for many days): Upper House...Continue reading
04.01.2022 Does Crikey! count as mainstream media? Despite having made the argument myself many times, I have never seen an article including the phrase: "The shuttering of the livestock and dairy industries would be a sensible policy goal in any polity that actually embraced, rather than simply spoke about, evidence-based policy.". The times they are a changin'
02.01.2022 I am rather late to the party, but today while I was out on a wetland with duck rescuers, I got news that AJP has won yet another seat in parliament. This gives us a much stronger position in NSW. Thank you to everyone who contributed and voted for us...I am so proud to be part of this movement.
01.01.2022 This is not a surprise to me :P
01.01.2022 I had a small part to play in this story about minor parties. Good luck to the Science party and Flux, but success for us must be at least one Senator.
