17.01.2022 Shout out to the Victoria Government for creating a logistical nightmare for us to sort out!! As we are sure you are all aware, we are allowed to open! YAY! ...But it’s very strict!! Only 20 people MAX in the hotel at one time, with a 2 hour time limit and up to 50 outside. We are currently working out a plan which will suit our diners and drinkers. Please bare with us while we work out something that works best for all. In the mean time we are taking meal bookings. So if you are keen. Send us a message or give us a call. Spots are filling fast!! Until then, Lets all pray for some sunshine and warm evenings so we can all hang out outside We Thank-you all for your understanding if we are unable to accommodate you or have to remind you that your time is up and also for everyone’s amazing support during these tough times. 15.01.2022 It’s silage time! Today was absolutely beautiful we’re crazy busy getting silage done before the next dump of rain and the girls are super happy in the sun, with as much grass as they can eat. How are you enjoying this lovely weather?

12.01.2022 From tomorrow we will be back in business Things will be a little different, so please be kind and patient with us whilst we work things out! MEALS...... We will be serving dinner meals daily over 2 sittings. First sitting 5.15pm-7.15 Second sitting 7.30-9.30 Lunch will be served Friday-Sunday One sitting 12noon-2pm. Takeaways will be running as normal! Kitchen opened 12noon-2pm & 5pm-8.30pm BAR.. Now this one is tricky!! The 2 hour time limit still applies. Outside we will be able to sit 50 people. In the bar will be only 10 people. This will be a first in best dressed basis. Please keep in mind we can only have a total of 20 people in the whole venue at once. This is going to be difficult over meal times. So again, bare with us. We are trying! We are doing everything in our power to accommodate everyone. Hopefully our outdoor area is fully functional soon - in the mean time we will have a makeshift one ACCOMODATION OPEN FOR BUSINESS!! We cannot wait to see other regional Victorians unfortunately we are still closed to metro Melbourne. Hopefully you can visit soon, just not quite yet! 12.01.2022 With the weather turning cold and wet again it’s time to bring out the slow cooker! Osso Buco is perfect for a rainy, cold night. Pop it on in the morning and come home to a tender, delicious meal! Ingredients... 2 tbsp olive oil 25g flour, to dust 4 pieces of veal shin, about 4cm thick 50g butter 1 onion, finely chopped 1 carrot, finely chopped 1 celery stick, finely chopped 1 head of garlic, cut horizontally 2 strips of lemon zest 4 sage leaves 200ml white wine 200ml good chicken stock Add oil to a fry pan over high heat. Put the flour on to a small plate and season generously, then use to coat the meat. When the oil is hot, add the meat to the pan and brown well on both sides until golden and crusted. Set aside on a plate. Turn the heat down and add three quarters of the butter to the pan. When melted, add the onion, carrot and celery, plus a sprinkle of salt, and cook until soft. Add the garlic halves, lemon zest and sage to the pan and cook for a few minutes more. Turn up the heat then add the wine to the pan, be sure to scrape all the cooked on bits off the pan. Pour in the stock and bring to a simmer. Add to the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Serve with mashed potatoes. 11.01.2022 Rolled roast is one of our favourites! But it’s too big for us to eat in one night. This delicious curry is one of our favourite ways to use up leftover roast meat. Even the kids approve! I add seasonal veg to the recipe too. It can be popped in the slow cooker at the start of the day or cooked on the stove top when you get home from work. ... 06.01.2022 ITS HAPPENING! JUNE 1st!! Things will be running a little different for the time being though. Bookings Only! No walk ins!... Patrons MUST remain in their seats AT ALL TIMES! Maximum of 6 per table, and tables will be spaced 1.5 meters apart Public Bar will be closed until further notice Alcohol will only be served with meals All guests must sign in and provide contact details. This includes minors All guest must use provided sanitizer before entering the bistro We will be taking extra precautions with cleaning. Including cleaning in between sittings and a deep clean before we open FINALLY We will still be doing takeaways. It is crucial we keep up this trade to keep us going. Unfortunately we can’t operate on a reduced bistro sitting alone. Everyone has been so amazing supporting us these last few months, and we are forever grateful. So please keep it up and hopefully we will be back to normal in no time!! At the moment we will still only be serving dinner between 5-8 Sunday -Thursday, and 5-8.30 Friday and Saturday But watch this space for any updates! THANKYOU AGAIN! SEE YOU ALL REALLY SOOOON!!!
