24.01.2022 A big thank you to everyone that came and helped with our working bee today, we had a busy day and were lucky to have great weather. The grounds are looking great and are ready for Mudjarng celebration and Black Olive .. Special thanks to my husband Graeme who goes above and beyond to help me when it’s needed.

22.01.2022 Motorists in NSW will no longer be warned when they approach a mobile speed camera on the road. The change to the speed camera warning signs was announced on Th...ursday and will be rolled out over the next 12 months. It means some warnings signs usually seen 250m and 50m ahead of mobile speed cameras will be scrapped. Some Motorist have told us that the signs are already starting to be removed

13.01.2022 A L W A Y S W A S A L W A Y S W I L L B E In Australia we are celebrating NAIDOC week - recognising the rich history of Aboriginal culture a...nd celebrating the achievements of Aboriginal people. Here are a selection of portraits from the Wiradjuri Grasslands project I have been working on for the last four years with Aboriginal communities on country - Brungle, Wagga, Narrandera, Tumut, Cootamundra started and facilitated by @thewiredlab. The aim is to inspire new artists to move away from raffia, jute and other imported materials to be able to identify, harvest and weave with native plants and materials endemic to the area. Hard to choose just ten pics from the years of workshops and events but these ones show some of the pride the project engendered, the quality of connection of young and old and beautiful things produced. Sending my love and respect to elders Aunty Cheryl Penrith, Aunty Gail Mandersen, Aunty Sony Piper, Aunty Phyllis, Aunty Pat and Deb Wood (and her Eve), Peter Beath, Melanie Evans, Amanda Reynolds and Nioka Dupond; proud mob committed to sharing and strengthening their culture. I'm honoured to be welcomed and richer for my experiences with you. Especially the laughs. Mandaang guwu. When things settle, we are working towards an exhibition at The Museum of The Riverina which will weave together fibre work, imagery, language and storytelling from the grasslands.
