Bruno's Batteries Byrnes Street Mareeba "Bruno’s Batteries founded in 1958 by Italian immigrant Bruno De Lai. While working a daytime job at Lawson’s Sawmill in Mareeba, Bruno would spend nights and weekends in his backyard shed making hard-rubber cased batteries by hand. Demand for Bruno’s batteries continued to gain traction. B...y 1967, Bruno registered the business and stepped away from his job at Lawson’s Sawmill to dedicate his time solely to Bruno’s Batteries. The rest, as they say, is history. Bruno’s Batteries remains a family-owned operation to this daynow in our 3rd generation. After a few minor battery tray and electrical repairs, we managed to get them back on their way for a trouble free trip!
