24.01.2022 The cover shot was taken this morning while on a quick visit to the club. Thank you to the parents of the children for allowing me to take the photo and sharing it and making it the cover photo. The picture says so much. There are smiling faces, kids on bikes and skates enjoying the outdoors in a safe and inviting place. Thats what velodromes are. They are community venues. Cheers ... Ag See more

17.01.2022 The Velodrome is where great collaborations happen.

16.01.2022 Moreland City Council in partnership with Monash Universitys XYX Lab is asking community members, specifically women and girls, about the Merri Creek area in Coburg between Moreland Road and Bell Street. When we use the word woman or women, we recognise that they are not a homogenous group. Women represent enormous diversity in their cultural background, socioeconomic status, where they live, their sexuality, ability/disability, and age. We use the word inclusive of all wome...n, including cis-women, trans-women, intersex women and non-binary persons. We know that many different people enjoy spending time along Merri Creek. If you dont use this area, that is okay, we would still like to hear from you about why you dont use it. Drawing on your own experiences, the Council is asking you to respond to a series of questions on how you use parts of the Merri Creek Coburg area, how you feel about safety in the area, and to tell them what could be done to improve and make the space feel safer for you. Completing this survey will take between 10 and 20 minutes. Not only as a club, but as a part of the community, we are supportive of this initiative and would appreciate your participation. 14.01.2022 Please note this mornings Junior Clinic and Women's Social Ride are both cancelled. Please remember velodromes are slippery when wet and the infield muddy. Let's keep ourselves and the track safe and stay away on days like these.

14.01.2022 Please note that there will be track training for Junior riders from 5.30pm this evening. The track will be closed to the public for the training session. For more information about training sessions for juniors (anyone 18 and under) please visit our website https://brunswickcyclingclub.teamapp.com/?_webpage=v1

08.01.2022 BRUNSWICK SCHOOLS SAFETY SURVEY As we slowly go back to school and most continue working from home, our streets are carrying fewer cars. Cities around the world are taking the opportunity to make it safer for people to walk or ride to where they need to go. If you're a Brunswick resident, by completing this survey we can make walking, cycling, scooting and skating to primary school safer.... https://www.timread.org.au/schoolssafetysurvey

05.01.2022 The Amy Gillett Foundation began the "A Metre Matters" campaign 10 years ago and today we’re celebrating that "A Metre Matters" for everyone in Australia. Temporary separated bike lanes make it safer for everyone and will help people who want to ride while freeing up the road for people who need to drive. We’re really excited and we want you to be too! Together, we’re working hard to make it safe to ride in Australia - now it’s time to celebrate!

03.01.2022 We have exciting news to share. The club recently put in a proactive submission for a Pump Track to be built and housed in the infield of the Velodrome at Harrison Street. We are pleased to announce that the submission has been successful and the building and installation of a Pump Track has been added as a priority project to The Moreland Councils Active Recreation Strategy list for this financial year. Pump Tracks are for everyone and we have no doubt the addition of a Pum...Continue reading
