13.01.2022 Diary entry Spent a few summery weeks with some french friends, Julien and Marie as well as old friend Matt, we did a few painting jobs, furniture jobs, and working on things at the shop making it ready for new tenants. Also went on a couple of surf trips which is a new thing for me. I recommend getting a wetsuit, it opens up a whole new dimension. Humans can only survive in the cold ocean for short bursts without one. Some major milestones achieved at the shop were getting h...ot water and the internet. Putting signage on the front of the shop. I was taught how to work instagram www.instagram.com/brunswickwestworkshop/ so that I now achieve more likes. We ate a lot of ham cheese and tomato toasties from Rodney and Jess. They put a good amount of salt and pepper on the toasties at mr and missus m cafe. Vino told me we are camped right on top of the ghost suburb of MooneeVale. It's an alternate name for our area used on the Post Office and Trams and at some periods in the past. https://wongm.com///where-is-melbourne-suburb-moonee-vale/ I have met four new people who are setting up their businesses in the shop over the next fortnight, Lia, Liam, Clare and Alice. My friend Tom hosted a film night at the shop which was a success and makes me want to do more of those. Also got me thinking about having some more serious cooking and eating there in the future when everything is running smoothly. I made it a priority to construct and put dirt in large planter boxes so that I can get some growth as soon as possible. Supplies for the planter boxes were given to me by old friend Matt and new friend Steve of the Truckman Removalist group. I'm growing grapevines, nectarine and apricot trees, tomatoes, a big succulent and a spiky bush. Thanks Steve for the grapevine cuttings and matt for the surprise tomatoes. My idea in the courtyard is to have the grapevines grow up to make it shady because it gets really hot in the afternoon sun. Andrew O4OO 99 16 77
