25.01.2022 Shaped like a heart, did you know that raspberries are considered a heart-healthy food? Naturally containing high levels of fibre and Vitamin C, no saturated fats or cholesterol - raspberries are not only packed with flavour but with essential vitamins, minerals and acids that promote healthy hearts. Our raspberries are only picked when they are completely ripened and we are lucky enough to be still picking fresh fruit from our field daily. So if you are curious to taste a... berry that not only treats the senses but is good for you, stop by for a punnet or two! . . . . #raspberry #vineripened #ripenedtoperfection #treatyourself #delightful #goodforthesoul #goodforyou #hearthealthy #eatwellbewell #berriesfordays #freshberries #freshproduce #brunyisland See more

18.01.2022 All our berries are vine ripened, staying on the vine for as long as possible to guarantee they contain perfect levels of natural sugars and juices. This season we have been fortunate enough to obtain large yields of raspberries from our crops and at the peak of the berry season, our berries are picked daily to ensure the highest level of freshness. Open 9am to 5pm everyday during the season (December to April).

16.01.2022 Nothing says Happy Hump Day like an albino Bennetts Wallaby coming to visit our farm shop especially when their joey sticks their head out of mums pouch just in time for a photo With only an estimated population size of 200 White Wallabies in the wild, Bruny Island is the only place in the world where you can see these majestic creatures. This rare genetic mutation of the Bennetts Wallaby is the result of an imbalance of melanin which gives these individuals pink eyes, ...nose and claws as well as snow white fur. If you find yourself travelling to Bruny Island, spotting one of these incredible animals is one worthy of the bucket list! . . . . . . #whitewallaby #bennettswallaby #adventurebay #brunyisland #brunyislandau #discovertasmania #exploretasmania #traveltasmania #cute #rareanimals #bucketlist See more

11.01.2022 Our raspberry bushes are in full bloom and the bees have been very bee-sy Even though raspberry blooms are self pollinating, bees are also responsible for 90-95% of their pollination. Raspberry flowers are not single blooms, they are comprised of 100-125 pistils (the female organ of a flower). To start the process in creating a raspberry, each pistil needs to be pollinated by bees to create a mature seed resulting in a drupe (single fruit with a thin skin containing a cen...tral seed). It takes between 75-85 drupes to create a single succulent raspberry.... who knew so much was involved in creating 1 raspberry?!?! It turns out the nectar created by raspberry bushes is very attractive to bees so pollination is never really a problem... you could say bees love raspberries So to break it down... With our 800 bushes, approximately 50-100 raspberry flowers per bush.... .... to avoid the maths - the Bruny Island Raspberry Farm is going to have a sh!t load of raspberries this season OPENING SOON! WATCH THIS SPACE . . . . . . . #raspberry #raspberryseason #berryseason #freshfruit #sustainablefarming #spring #summeriscoming #openingsoon #comeandvisit #adventurebay #delicious #brunyisland #beesareawesome

10.01.2022 ***CAPTURED*** Even on a frosty winters morning, rainbows can appear to brighten the day. And who said there isnt a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow?!?! Well in this case the pot of gold is in fact a raspberry field - trust us, we checked! Whilst our raspberry field lays dormant in the depth of winter, the raspberry canes are regenerating to provide an abundance of fruit in the late spring. Some say sighting a rainbow is a sign of good things to come... watch this space!

07.01.2022 With the devastating bushfires that have swept across Australia in the past couple of months, our beautiful and unique wildlife have ended up displaced or severely injured. Whilst we are still trying to understand the true impact the bushfires have had on our wildlife, many wildlife services and conservation societies need our help to help them care, rehabilitate and return injured wildlife back into the wild. WE NEED YOUR HELP!! We are calling out to anyone who can donat...e any flannelette sheets, woollen beanies, towels or pillow cases that will be sent to wildlife carers throughout Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland to help them care for orphaned joeys during this wildlife crisis. The flannelette sheets will be sent to Taronga Conservation Society in Sydney to make pouches for orphaned, heat affected grey-headed flying foxes that are currently being fostered by the staff there. Did you know that flying foxes are one of the most significant pollinators in Australia? With hundreds of flying foxes and joeys currently in care, these pouches are critical to the success of their rehabilitation and release. If you would like to donate any of these items, please drop them off to the Bruny Island Raspberry Farm, 69 Lockleys Road, Adventure Bay, Bruny Island. Any donations will be greatly appreciated and we thank you for your support
