21.01.2022 This week is Mens health week which was an initiative started in the US in 1994 to heighten awareness and encourage early detection and treatment among men and boys. Since going global, a declaration was established to raise awareness and improve overall mens health. The Vienna Declaration set out to: Recognize men's health is a critical issue and there are health issues that only affect men.... Promote awareness of men's approach to health Change the way health care is provided to be more sensitive towards men's needs Create school and community programs which target boys and young men Connect health and social policies to better pursue men's health goals. With ongoing isolation issues relating to COVID-19, this message is more important than ever. Reach out to your friends/colleagues/neighbours and check they are OK. And most importantly, know that it is OK to ask for help for yourself at any time. Call your GP or go online where you can find numerous support services available. Stay safe and well.

Heres what we can see in the photos- 1 A low angle shot of crane- no wind or rain! 2 The podium has been poured, the block work from ground to level one has commenced, and the scaffold is being installed. 3 Pour one of the podium is complete and getting ready for pour two. 4 The second pour of the podium. 285m3 of concrete and 62 tonnes of REO was used to complete the pour!

16.01.2022 On Monday, our Cairns office hosted 6 year 10 Trinity Bay State High School students from the Clontarf Foundation. The Clontarf Foundation exists to improve the education, discipline, life skills, self-esteem and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men. Peter (Bryant Project Manager) and Jason Smith from Australian Training Works teamed up to speak with the boys about the construction industry and potential career pathways.... The boys also had a look at some construction drawings and ventured outside to look at one of the apartment blocks Bryant are currently working on.

08.01.2022 SITE OF THE WEEK: BROADBEACH STATE SCHOOL Construction of the new Early Learning Centre is well under way at Broadbeach State School! The building is a two-storey classroom building consisting of over 20 different learning areas. ... The sandy ground combined with the ongoing wet weather has created some challenges onsite- pumping out water and re-digging footings after each hounding from Mother Nature! None the less, nothing the Bryant team cant handle! Our experienced Project Manager and Site Supervisor have helped incorporate a new footing design, along with the projects engineers, that involved the use of screw piles to overcome the challenges. The team have been working on the ground slabs, formwork, blockwork, lift works and the new Energex pad mount transformer. Over the next few weeks, the team will be working to finalise the remaining ground slab pours, erect the perimeter scaffold, place the formwork deck, and edge board level one.
