23.01.2022 #tbt to a couple of custom floating hardwood shelves that were made to accompany the solid oak desktop and drawer unit I made a few weeks past. Swipe right for the before! Such a simple and elegant way to add storage, space and value to the home. These are two solid #vicash shelves that have been stained with @feast_watson #oak to match the desk below. 02.01.2022 My final roofing practical task and assessment, an octagonal end and skew end roof, developed from scale drawings and developing your cuts. I must say this week was such a challenge for me, not coming to this type of carpentry naturally I’ve learnt a lot while also giving the old brain a good workout. I’m going to keep my drawings however as these can be developed in any pitch, (these were in 33 degrees and 32) This will be a solid groundwork to any roof or pergola I want to build in the future! #knowledge #learning #framing #carpentry #roofing
