23.01.2022 NO General Meeting in January.
22.01.2022 Hi to all members. A couple of years ago I came to your club meeting and showed you the two classic motorcycle children's books that I have written. I'd like t...o advise all club members that a third book is now out - 'Barry the Bike and the Sidecar.' The book features the central character, the BSA bantam plus the new character - Humphrey the Watsonian sidecar. I received permission to use the Ariel branding which allowed me to introduce the Ariel Square Four. BP, Castrol and Michelin Tyres have also been kind enough to let me use their posters and signs from the 1950s. 21.01.2022 Grant Murray (Jant N Granet) got off the ferry from Tasmania and unfortunately came off his T140 in the wet on Glenhuntly Road while travelling to the ABR. The ...bike wasn't badly damaged but Grant broke 6 ribs and a collarbone and missed the rally. He did win the ABR Hard Luck Award which in my opinion is the hardest one to win so all was not lost. 14.01.2022 2019 AGM Here are a few highlights: courtesy of Leon. - Last year's minutes were quickly precised, fwded and accepted by all - John gave a brief wrap up of some of the previous year's high points, particularly the International Rally at The Grampians (with associated pics)... - Committee members' reports were presented, with enthusiastic speeches from Club Captain, Paul and Burble Editor, Nigel - the club's finances are in rude health, according to new Treasurer, Colin and approved by all - the infamous Far Cup was awarded to Doug Gorrie for demonstrating how to BBQ a Rocket (Doug was so embarrassed he chose to flee the country) - several not-so-ordinary members were recognised for their unstinting help in staging the International After Pete R's attempt to corrupt the raffle draw by inserting several Black R43 tickets into the bucket, pizza and more beers were vacuumed up in record time before laughter and back-slapping echoed across the soggy bowling greens as the Frasers saddled up for a no-doubt er, challenging ride home.
14.01.2022 I have engine bottom end for BSA C11G 1953 250cc for sale. Is it ok to advertise here?
13.01.2022 Can anyone help me on a price for the frame. I have enough for a roller including triple trees and bars. Plus a M20 engine. Head has been removed but told it runs. Comes with a stationary engine carb.
11.01.2022 2020 All British Rally postponed. PRESS RELEASE... 16/03/2020 2020 All British Rally postponed. The government has directed there are to be no gatherings of more than 500 people to minimise the spread of COVID-19. The committee of the BSA Motorcycle Owners Association Inc must follow that directive and postpone the 2020 All British Rally. We apologise for any inconvenience this creates. The committee has decided to refund all entries, therefore if you have already booked an entry to the rally your entry fee will be re-funded. The BSA Motorcycle Owners Association Inc committee will consider possible future alternative new dates once the government directive has been lifted. Rick Gardner President
