23.01.2022 2019 was a great year for drifting, met some awesome people, drove with some seriously talented drivers and probably blazed 400 tyres in chucky the party car. Thanks to all the legends that made 2019 awesome. And I guess we look forward to 2021 drift series

21.01.2022 Product review 3 Zeknova RS606 R1 140TW This is simply the BEST tyre hands down!!!!... Same as the last tyres tested, 17psi cold, no adjustments, no warm up just drive. This was the nxt level, the speed difference, side bite and forward grip was completely different and a step above the r4. There was a few small clutch kicks needed in the slower corners to get the rpm up so straight away that shows the extra grip these tyres had. Speed off the go pro was another 4-5kph over the r4 and these lasted 2 full laps of blaze before they were toast but grip all the way to nothing. Summery *best tyre you will ever try *utalized the 1000hp and driveline to handle the grip. *scary how fast you can enter, get on the power then run shallow due to grip. *did we mention they have bulk grip *ps Deez got grip!!!!! *if your into grip and have the setup to 3 wheel and not break everything then try these out! Zeknova Australia you have yourselves a true pro tyre here. I look forward to pushing myself and the cars limits with confidence on these and hopefully put on a good show making clouds
20.01.2022 Flashback to my first ever Vic drift Comp. The hype was massive just over 60 drivers entered. we only just made the show and qualified 32nd. The battle system ment first up we had the no1 qualifier Chris Dejager. In true Dejager form, we had a briefing on what gear we entered in, what tyre pressures to run, where we were slow or fast and lastly his instructions were to enter right beside him if I wanted it to be a close battle (I was only a noob with less than a year of drif...ting). I still haven’t worked out if the nxt part was to settle my nerves or make them worse but the last comment b4 we headed out was your already a winner in this battle, you have nothing to loose. No1 Qualifier is expected to win, so if you do loose, you still got to battle the no1 and gain the experience. If you win, well then you just beat the number 1 so for you it really is a win win either way. With his instructions I drove the best chase run I’d ever driven to that day. I didn’t win but he was right. I was so happy with what I learnt and it was only the beginning of our drifting journey.
20.01.2022 Keep it Reet reetsuri v2 is done and dusted. Massive shout out to the KIR family, volunteers and Pheasant Wood Circuit - Marulan NSW for giving up their time for us to do what we love. Recap is pretty much the norm, we avoided a crash and got crashed Into. Replaced some stuff and removed more but chucky can never surrender. We were back out being the serial pests we are known for, getting on as many doors as we could and running some super fun trains with legendary drivers. ...Thanks to all the mates I drove with new and old. Dead set best thing about drifting is the bunch of legends you do it with. Took some passengers, tried to give them all the full package and with the laughs, screams and high fives I hope we delivered An awesome experience. Did 180l of e85 but only 14tyres, the entire Sunday just 2 sets of Zeknova Australia Supersports. (More on these in a dedicated post) Tried bulk backies, plenty of spins, some epic ones landed but mostly little ones pulled off. But end of the weekend I don’t think I could have had more fun. This whole weekend was was about working on my late team mate and drift mentor Chris DeJager plan for me and developing my skills with snappy transitions and the door rubbing he was known for. At the last reetsuri event Chris and I spoke in depth about what I needed to do if I wanted to land backies in the big boat among the normal 5hr drift conversations we had. So I put the plan to work and was happy with results. With all the partying on track I managed to land the Thrash King award. Pretty much this award was just everything Dejager, so to get this ment more than anything. I apologise to the KIR family for not giving much of a speech but I was fighting back the tears, but this really ment the world to me getting this award. I will continue to push hard and maybe one day be as good as this great man was. If I can pass on even 10% of the experiences he has given me to others then that’s a win for me. Thanks again to everyone involved and see y’all at the nxt.

18.01.2022 product review 2 Zeknova RS606 R4 240TW semi slick. Now we move onto the Hulk180 pro car. Built for the pro series the tyre rule is 265 semi slick... Only a new set up we are green in the semislick style of tyre and grip they offer. We tested 3 different brand of semi slicks all at the same pressures and no suspension adjustments. These were full laps with only the straight not drifted. The 1st tyre was commonly used at out pro event series and felt ok but didn’t last 1 full lap blazing 4th. We swapped over to another well known brand (the tyre we were going to use this year) and really liked them, lasted 1 1/2 laps of 4th gear blazing and grip from the start untill on belts, far better than the 1st tyre tested. Then we put on the Zeknova R4!!!!! Set pressures to 17psi (same as others) straight into drift it only took 1 corner for the tyres to be on and wow they felt good. A definite gain in side bite and forward grip over the other 2 tested. Longevity they lasted 3 laps so again a big difference to the others and pretty much the biggest advantage we noticed. The grip only fell off once we were on belts. The biggest thing we noticed with having so much horsepower is, it’s quite hard to gauge grip levels. When all you need to do is probably move the throttle 5% to hit limiter it’s not easy to tell how much extra grip you have when your driving by yourself. It defiantly felt faster speed wise so we checked out the go pro footage and found we were @ 6kph faster through most drifting corners on the R4 over the better semi we tested. Summery on the R4 *perfect pro level Comp tyre *lasted longer *awesome grip and grip after 1st corner
17.01.2022 Appreciation post for a great team that’s supported us from day 1 Zoo Performance. We are pumped to be part of the zoo family, our achievements in 2019 gave us a pro am championship, podium result in Thailand and a championship winning pro car ready for this years season. For 2021 they have started the year off with a very unique and special gift. A Zoo drivers only race suit. These suits are only made and given to Zoo drivers and can’t be bought so it something we are very... honoured to have received. Hopefully 2021 gives us the year of drifting we all want and plenty of track time partying with out likeminded drifting family. Thanks again Bling Nicky Zoo Performance

02.01.2022 Product review time there’s a lot of hype around the tyre brand @Zeknova atm and we were lucky enough to do some extensive testing over the last few events. First off we’ll dive into the base tyre aimed for the state events and drift practice in general. The supersport radial. ... Our jzx100 is a state level car, or pro-am style car, restricted to a certain size & type of tyre and the supersport is the tyre for this category. 2019 we competed and won the Hitec pro am championship and won a round of our state series on a very well know tyre in the drift scene so we had very big shoes to fill. We have ran and tested over 10 different tyres at matsuri’s and only a handful really worked or lasted. And when your blowing 30tyres a weekend they have to last and be affordable. So back to back testing we went out on the same pressures and did the same layout on the same day with the same suspension settings. Track layout was Comp style so big entry, 4 corners finish and wait inline, so cool downs after each run. With no warm up initial feeling was slippery at first and less side bite than we were used to, Forward grip felt very similar. 2nd lap and tyres scrubbed in they really started to gain the side bite and feel very similar to the tyres we were using. By the 3rd lap the tyres were nice and hot and performing extremely well. Car felt nice and predictable with plenty of grip but not over gripped at all and didn’t need any brutal clutch kicks. After 6 laps (previous tyre was toast at 6) came in to check wear and was only @ 50% down so went back out. Finished off the tyres after 14 laps and had grip all the way to belts (camber wear inside was on belts). Stiffened suspension a few clicks and set pressures to 32psi (previously 20psi) and went back out on the 2nd set trying to drift but preserve tyre life with cool downs and not just blaze 3rd like normal. After 3 different passengers and 60l of e85 the tyres were dead. I lost count after 20laps but again I was trying to make them last. The most laps I got previously was 6 out of our preferred tyre and 12 out of a 265 that was 1/2 the grip levels. summery *need to warm up for peak grip and side bite *very similar grip maybe a fraction more than what we were using. *very predictable behaviour grip till dead *last 2-3 time longer than any tyre we’ve used *cost more per tyre initially, but use fewer tyres for more seat time. Less tyre changing costs at the track. *perfect tyre for practice and matsuri style events. A no brainer for Comp and tyre restricted events. Plenty of grip adjustment with tyre pressures *tyre of choice Zeknova Australia
