20.01.2022 Happy Monday everyone! Today marked the reopening of public gyms and like lots of you over the past few months I have been trying to maintain my strength and r...ehabilitation routine in the confines of my home... Needless to say I was particularly excited about my return to the gym this afternoon and look forward to getting stuck into my training again! Fortunately at BSERC we have been able to continue running small group and one-on-one exercise physiology and rehabilitation sessions at our onsite facility. This has enabled us to keep our clients moving and on track to achieving wonderful results throughout such uncertain times. If you are looking for a tailored exercise program suited to your abilities, needs and exercise goals or some advice on how to safely return to activity send me a message, I would love to help you take the first steps to achieving your health goals!

17.01.2022 Tomorrow is the start of Exercise Right Week! This year, the theme is Movement is Medicine. The aim of this years campaign is to highlight how powerful exercise, physical activity and movement are for your physical and mental health. Also to showcase that exercise is for everyone, regardless of age, weight, background or health status, and to help everyday Australians understand where they can get the right advice for their individual needs.

16.01.2022 Today is World Maternal Mental Health Day, raising awareness of maternal mental health issues so that more women will get treatment and fewer will suffer. It's ...a great reminder to check in on the way you are feeling, and to consider if you might need some extra support. One of the tricky things about having depression and/or anxiety as a new or expecting parent is that many symptoms can look similar to what most people experience at this time e.g. feeling tired, a bit irritable or emotional, or worrying about baby’s health. To see if what you’re experiencing or observing in a loved one could be a reason to seek help, fill out a short mental health checklist: www.panda.org.au/info-support/checklists Image: An illustration of a family of three sitting together on the floor of their home. The room is untidy and lived in, but everyone looks calm. The time on the clock is 2.16am. There's some handwriting on the image that says 'doing your best is enough'. 05.01.2022 Movement is medicine for your mental health ! Living an active lifestyle can improve your mood, help you to sleep better, help you to manage stress and reduce your risk of developing a mental health condition like depression and anxiety.
