05.01.2022 Graph of the month: TV is getting more effective! August’s Chart of the month comes courtesy of the IPA’s (Institute of Incorporated Practitioners in Advertising - UK) latest effectiveness study from ‘Marketing Effectiveness in the Digital Era: Media in Focus’. It appears to be full of thought-provoking insights into how marketing rules have changed (or not) in an age when new media is not so new and the digital space is just another medium. Without getting too deep into the... book we thought we'd throw this chart out there - for our inaugural ‘Graph of the Month’ - as it appears to fly in the face of "the sky is falling" kinda talk we keep hearing about the death throes of advertising and media planning as we know it. The overview of the study appears to good news, not least that TV remains the most effective ad medium and is becoming more effective. We'll let you know more when we've digested the entire report, but the gist seems to be that adding TV to your campaign increases effectiveness by about 40% and that makes it the single most important thing you can do to improve the effectiveness of your campaign.
