24.01.2022 Hi members, recent update today regarding back to training. The only change from last weeks announcement is that we can have 20 participants instead of 10. Stay tuned for further updates as they arise!

24.01.2022 Hi Members/Parents/Coaches/Team Managers Im sure you are all aware of the latest updates from the Victorian Premier, putting Metropolitan Melbourne in Stage 3 lockdown again, which has closed community sport, among many other things. This has left St Albans Caroline Springs Netball Association with no alternative but to cancel our Spring Season 2020 which means no netball for the rest of the year (please see attached link)... https://www.facebook.com//a.52535340416/3037047952998058/ We are extremely disappointed and saddened by this news but there was always a chance that this may happen with the very volatile and ever changing environment we are living in. We have put in so much hard work and effort to try and get netball back up and running again but there were just too many hurdles to overcome that were beyond our control. So what does this mean for our club and members? This is not the end of netball, just a bump in the road that we will overcome and move on from. It will take time to recover and rebuild again but I know with the continuing support and understanding from all our members, parents, coaches, team managers and community, we will be back bigger and better than ever next year! We may have an opportunity to get back to some sort of training later on in the year if/when restrictions get lifted so please keep that in mind. The Association have also said they may offer some tournaments as well which is something we can look forward to! In regards to training fees, there were some who took up the offer to pay for the year in advance (2 seasons). If this applies to you, we are offering a couple of options carry it over to Season 1 2021 or a refund for half of the amount you paid (so effectively not paying for Season 2 2020). Can you please advise us your chosen option by return email to [email protected] . If you are not sure if this applies to you or if you have any questions, please email us. We will respond to these as soon as possible. Community sport is an extremely important part of a childs life and while this has had a huge impact on us as a club and community, I encourage our members to continue with their netball journey and practice as much as they can at home with family. We will continue to post netball drills/exercises on our Facebook/Team App pages. Our coaches/team managers will stay in contact with you as much as they can for further support and encouragement. We will be in touch when things change and when we are able to get together again, in the meantime keep smiling and practicing and thinking about netball, netball, netball!! 24.01.2022 We are deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing of Carol Craig, a wonderful woman who used to umpire our young ones and more recently court supervisor. She was always there to help, and offer assistance and advice, she loved to see the kids loving their netball. She was always up for a chat and laugh. Our deepest condolences to her family and the SACSNA community. RIP Carol

23.01.2022 Netball associations and clubs across Victoria are excitedly preparing for the return of community netball later this year. During this time, we are fielding ...a lot of questions about the vaccination requirements for on-court participants as well as those that support our great game. The Victorian Government will soon announce a position on the vaccination requirements for everyone involved in both professional and community sport. We anticipate there will be a requirement to be vaccinated to participate in any community netball activity. Over the past two years, Netball Victoria has followed the public health advice and the directions of the Victorian Government to ensure a safe return to community netball. We will continue to follow Government regulations including those relating to the vaccination requirements for community sport. We understand there will be complexities around the administration and management of a vaccination policy, however we are getting closer. The Services Victoria app now allows vaccinated individuals to upload their vaccination certificate, providing an easy way to display vaccination status when you check in. The use of this new technology will be tested through a series of trials throughout regional Victoria. We will provide more information and support to you as soon as it is available.

Great news from the Victorian government, however we don't have any news regarding when the Leisure Centre will be open for us to return to training. We are not sure it will happen this year, but we are hopeful, more information to come. Hang in there everyone.......

17.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE - BACK TO TRAINING MONDAY 30/11/20 Hi Members We have fantastic news that training has finally been given the go ahead to start on Monday 30/11/20 as planned!... As we will only have 20 or so participants attending, we have decided to run only 1 session from 4.30pm to 5.30pm for all 3 dates (30/11, 7/12, 14/12), so there will be no rush to get there and also allow us to clean up afterwards. As numbers are limited and so we are able plan the session carefully, we can only accommodate those that have responded they are coming. Please let us know as soon as possible by the weekend if you have not yet replied that your child will be attending, unfortunately we cannot have members turn up unannounced. Please ensure you follow the guidelines of only one parent/guardian to stay if the child needs to be supervised, maintain social distancing and practice good hygiene. We will also need to you sign in and out as per requirements from the government regulations. We will have a Covid safe officer onsite to oversee and assist if needed. Please be patient with us if things do not go according to plan! We are starting back from a long time away and things will be different but we will try to make it as normal as possible under the current circumstances and restrictions. Unfortunately we are unable to celebrate together in person as we had hoped so we have put together a video to showcase our 10 years. Despite this years unfortunate circumstances we are still going strong and will continue to grow stronger in 2021 and beyond.

13.01.2022 IMPORTANT INFORMATION - REFUND/ROLLOVER VNA IF PURCHASED ON OR AFTER 1/6/21 Hi Members We hope you are surviving this lockdown that seems to keep dragging on and on!... For those of you who purchased VNA for the Spring season only (juniors and seniors), and barely had a chance to use it, please see the below information from the Association after discussions with Netball Victoria: Any one who purchased VNA on or after the 1/6/21 are entitled to the following: 1. Pledge it to Netball Victoria 2. Request a full refund 3. Roll it over to 2022 Netball Victoria will be contacting those that purchased VNA on or after the 1/6/21 by email and you will need to follow the process. VNA is going up by $2 per adult and child in 2022. If you decide to roll your VNA over you will not have to pay the difference. If the request is not actioned by the end of October it will be lost. We would suggest if any of you have not received an email by the 20/10/21, you should contact Netball Victoria directly. Please note, this has nothing to do with the Club, only Netball Victora can assist with VNA. We miss you all very much and hope to see you back at the Club very soon, with big smiles and lots of energy and keen to get back to Netball! 11.01.2022 IMPORTANT MESSAGE - EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR 5 GAME ROUND ROBIN Hi Members/Players/Coaches Hope you are all doing ok under the circumstances!... Hopefully we will all be out of this lockdown very soon. We have some news from St Albans Caroline Springs Netball Association, please read below: "Are you itching to get back on the court and dust of those netball shoes? We are currently taking expressions of interest! If restrictions ease we may be able to offer a 5 game Round Robin beginning 12th November 2021. Proposed nights as follows: Caroline Springs- Wed & Fri nights (possibly Sunday) Copperfield College- Tues Keilor- Thursday Other nights of interest can also be suggested. - Must still have a current VNA membership, or if you have rolled or requested a refund of your 2021 registration you will still be permitted to play. - Only game fees required (team registration waived). - This would be a good opportunity to have a run and/or sort teams out for next year under proper game conditions. We would love to see all of you again and watch the return of netball, (though only briefly), without having to wait until 2022!" This is fantastic news and hopefully it can go ahead, but as we all know, it will all be dependent on the government and council. It will also depend on if we can get enough player interest (may need to merge some teams in the same age group) and coach availability. If you are keen, please reply to [email protected] as soon as possible, cut off date is this Thursday 14th October 2021, as I have to let the Association know on Friday 15/10/21 if we have teams. 09.01.2022 IMPORTANT INFORMATION - 5 GAME ROUND ROBIN WILL GO AHEAD! Hi Members With the fantastic news we received today, indoor community sport will be back and the Association have confirmed there has been enough interest from participants so the round robin will go ahead!... Please see the information below from the Association regarding how it will run: "If you have a scorer their details to be recorded. Purely a manual system nothing will be recorded on line. No ladder will be kept. A paper fixture will be issued once teams are confirmed and this is the only fixture available. All persons 16+ must be double vaxxed by the time the comp starts. Proof will be required to be shown. Download the Services Vic app and link to your medicare account and it will show on your phone when you check in. Tentative start dates are Sun 7/11, Tues 9/11., Wed 10/11, Thurs 11/11 and Friday 12/11. If anything changes we will notify you. Game fees will need to be paid in cash each week. If you have any new members without VNA that are going to play next year they can purchase a 2022 VNA and will be covered for the mini season and next year. Anyone who purchased VNA on or after the 1/6/21 and have requested that their VNA be rolled over will also be covered for the mini season" The registration forms need to be completed and handed in by Thursday, 28/10/21. It is a chance to have your say, participate as a member and catch up on what is going on with the club. We rely solely on your participation and support to keep the club going, especially after the year we have had.
