24.01.2022 Looking forward to seeing you! AND WE ARE KEEPING YOU SAFE With the current concerns about COVID-19 we would like to reassure our clients that we are taking all possible measures to ensure our clinics are cleaner than ever before. We are following all best practice measures to ensure we minimize any chances of transmitting the virus in our clinics.... All surfaces in the exercise / pilates room, waiting area and physio rooms are being cleaned and disinfected after each class/session throughout the clinics. In addition to this you will most likely smell disinfectant through the clinics which is being used regularly throughout the day as well. We have advised all patients to please be mindful of any cold and flu symptoms and to postpone treatment if any illness should be present. We are also asking all patients who have arrived from overseas in the last 14 days to not enter our clinic. We have provided hand sanitiser in all our rooms and at our front desk. Please make sure to make use of this on arrival and departure of the clinic. It is our priority to keep you safe and well during this time. We are all in this together! Kindest regards, Your Team at BT Physiotherapy

11.01.2022 Times are challenging for a lot of Australians now, and it's more important than ever to look after your mental health. Here are some great ways to protect you...r mental health during the COVID-19 epidemic: 1) Practice good sleep hygiene - Poor sleep quality can leave you moody and irritable. Implementing good habits, like maintaining a regular bedtime and limiting screen time before bed, can help you to get some shut-eye. 2) Stay physically active - Moving regular helps to boost your feel-good hormones and can help to protect you from mental health conditions like anxiety and depression. 3) Limit sedentary time - Being at home all the time means that you may spend more time sitting than normal. Set an alarm to make sure you're getting up regularly and moving around. 4) Make time to relax - Whether it's yoga, mindfulness, meditation or simply a long, hot bath, it's important to take some time out for yourself! If you're feeling overwhelmed and need to talk to someone, remember you can always call Lifeline on 13 11 14. #ExerciseRight #MentalHealthMatters

05.01.2022 Exercise is not a chore. It's not just a way to lose weight. It's not a form of punishment. MOVEMENT IS MEDICINE for your physical and mental health. With half ...of all Aussies living with at least one chronic condition and 45% experiencing mental illness in their lifetime, this message has never been more important. Living an active lifestyle and exercising regularly can help to reduce your risk of developing a wide range of chronic conditions like heart disease, diabetes and some cancers. It also helps to improve your mental health and can protect against conditions like depression and anxiety. Make movement a regular part of your life by adding exercise and physical activity to your daily routine. Head to our website for more advice to get started... If you're living with a chronic condition and need some help to know what exercises are safe for you, we recommend seeking out an Accredited Exercise Physiologist to prescribe your daily dose of exercise.
