25.01.2022 On Friday I was invited along with other Kaumatua (Maori elders)to speak to Maori and Pacific Island students about responsibility, expectations and new possibilities. I was inspired by the obvious leadership qualities some of our students displayed and it excites me to know that this event is a platform for much needed change. A change in how we are perceived in our community. A change in our young peoples thought processes and an opportunity for students (and parents) to be the change they want to see in the world!

18.01.2022 Catching up with colleagues from East Waikiki Primary yesterday was a blast! Thankfully they put in a good word for me with the principal. Currently drawing up proposals and quotes for BTC sessions, Bone carving and drumbeat program

16.01.2022 Been a while with lots happening. I did a talk for year 8's assembly. had lots of kids talk to me afterwards telling me their stories with tears rolling down their cheeks. Got a great reference letter from a mate who is a huge supporter of our school. Got two job offers from two different high schools. Thanks/no thanks. I've decided to finish up at my school at the end of this term to focus on building my brand. Did a BTC session with Year 11 group. Way too many students not enough support staff....oh well $390 for an hour and a half effort. Returning to my old primary school Wednesday to plan BTC sessions there. Running a story about my program this weekends local paper.

08.01.2022 I'm pretty happy with this spread. One or two minor aberrations otherwise great for my branding.

01.01.2022 Today I visited my third high school in the Rockingham area. I left information and will follow up next week. What's interesting was that I knew kids from all three high schools, from working with them when they were at Primary school. I guess for both them and me it was good to see a familiar face.
