04.01.2022 The thing I love most about being a Personal Trainer is seeing people smash their goals no matter what they might be. Thanks for sharing your story @Andrea *********************** THANK GOD FOR BRAD! That’s a bit dramatic I hear you say but when you’ve lived with chronic pain for 10yrs it’s very apt. See I injured my right shoulder in a repetitive work injury back in 2010. At first I just did the typical things like ignoring it and using Panadol when it ached. Finally I ha...d to go to the doctor as the pain increased and was never ending. Investigations showed subacromial bursitis. Again I thought over time this would heal itself cause ain’t we all invincible! But sadly no. Time moved on and the ever present pain just seemed to be part of my new normal. At its peak I attended doctors, physiotherapists and had tried 2 personal trainers unsuccessfully. I also took opioid medication and in 2018-2019 I had 3 steroid injections into the bursa. It was only by chance that I crossed paths with Brad. He was doing a promotion with new clients at Jetts South Toowoomba, and I thought I’d just do the promotion package and move on. That was one year ago this month. He was different and was genuinely interested in my health. Very quickly he decided that we were going to rehabilitate my shoulder and to be patient with the process. My shoulder had tightened and lifted due to me guarding my pain so I had a bit of a lopsided appearance. Progress at first felt like 2 steps forward 1 step back as my shoulder was so susceptible to injury but slowly over time it strengthened and then I was actually allowed to use weights. (The first 4-6mnths was just range of movement exercises as I could hardly lift my arm above shoulder height without pain). Now I have NO PAIN and full range of movement. Brad has been patient, understanding and involved throughout this whole process. He is knowledgeable in his field and will give you a plan that he personally prepares. The best thing about Brad is his ability to build a rapport with people and his sense of humour - which evolves the more you get to know him (ask Brad about his Batboy photo) So thank you Brad, I am so very glad our paths have crossed.

She pushes herself every session, and the hard work is paying off. You are such an inspiration Danni, keep up the great work *********** I started to get back into fitness to help my struggles with depression. I started PT sessions at Jetts with Brad in January 2020, and like everything I had my reservations because he wasn’t that famili...ar with working with a cerebral palsy client. Being a former athlete who has only done a bit of fitness here and there, but not really sticking with anything since 2009 - I was keen to hook in and see if I still had it. It took Brad a few weeks to realise that I wasn’t breakable, and I was someone he could really push. Apparently, I still haven’t learnt that telling Brad that it felt easy results in him putting the weight up haha. Brad asked me what my goals were and I honestly until then I hadn’t thought about it. My main one is to stay healthy and mobile for as long as possible. I was told I would never walk - clearly I don’t like being told I can’t do something! I have only been working with Brad for 5 months but I can already see HUGE improvements. I’m a lot happier within myself, all my aches and pains from CP are now minimal, and my balance is starting to improve which for me is an achievement in itself! I even started going to the gym on a more regular basis. I’m very thankful that Brad has continued with my sessions away from the gym while they are temporarily closed. I originally thought working with Brad would spark my desire to compete again, because as they say once an athlete always an athlete. Unfortunately, once you lose the passion for something you loved for a massive part of your life, it’s so hard to go back to. Not to mention, life as an athlete is far from pretty. He has however inspired me in a different way. As of June I will begin my journey to become a qualified personal trainer. This wont be easy, but I’m finally going back to what I have always loved - just in a different way. Of course I am going to get knock backs but I already get that on a daily basis so bring on the challenge I say! Brad has a wealth of knowledge and is very keen to share it with those who are interested. His ability to adapt to my needs totally amazed me and I can’t wait to see what I can achieve under his guidance. 04.01.2022 Another great story from this super mum Great effort Melanie It was towards the end of September 2019 when I joined Jetts South Toowoomba. As a working mother of 4 active young kids I knew that time and accountability were my two most important factors when it came to achieving my goals. I’d been trying for sometime to get back to my pre-baby weight and honestly I was seeing no results. It was only a few weeks after joining Jetts when I started some personal training sess...ions with Brad, and now 9 months later have lost a total of 25kg. True story, I can still remember right before my first pt session sitting in the car thinking that I was too nervous to go ahead with it - honestly I almost didn’t turn up. Just showing up to the gym was overwhelming enough let alone personal training! During the time training with Brad I've felt like he really respected where I was at and made me feel comfortable enough not to give up. Just because he made me feel comfortable though didn’t mean he never pushed me beyond my own limitations. I even end up the female club winner of the Jetts 8 week challenge! I feel like over the last 9 months I have learnt a huge amount about exercise and training due to Brad’s extensive knowledge - he was even able to tailor a triathlon training program for me as I got fitter and my goals changed. The support and encouragement was excellent. I genuinely felt that he cared about my goals and wanted to see me reach them. I would recommend Brad as a trainer regardless of where you’re at on your fitness journey. See more

The QLD Government updates are in and while we have been given the green light we are required to reopen during staffed hours only, whi...ch means that from 5am tomorrow we will be open: Monday: 5am to 11am & 3pm to 9pm Tuesday: 5am to 11am & 3pm to 9pm Wednesday: 5am to 11am & 3pm to 9pm Thursday: 5am to 11am & 3pm to 9pm Friday: 5am to 11am Saturday: 7am to 11am Sunday: Unstaffed We are able to have up to 20 people in the gym and having reviewed our visitation data we are confident that we rarely have this many members in the gym at any one time. We do have the opportunity to use our App for bookings if we need to manage this more closely, however based on our visitation data we don't deem this is necessary. J SERIES will be back on once we’ve got the band back together (details to come). These initial reopening steps are essential to ensure that we are meeting the Government’s requirements and we’ll email our members further information shortly.
