20.01.2022 My tip for anyone who might want to start an R U OK? conversation is to just do it. Take a deep breath and ask the question. You don’t need to have all the ans...wers. Just letting that person know that you care and that they are worthy of being cared about is sometimes enough. Have the Lifeline and Mental Health Line numbers stored in your phone or wallet, in case you feel it’s out of your depth, but most importantly just listen and be there for that person. R U OK? Engaged by Swimming Victoria, I ...was asked to fast-track a literature review on the relationship between Swimming Pools and COVID 19. With the ever-changing COVID-19 environment, I believe it is the first of it’s kind in Australia. Unfortunately, Swimming Pools and their operations are often a misunderstood environment. Through lack of knowledge and incorrect assumptions, decisions are being made that negatively impact a highly regulated industry. But more than anything, the review provided fascinating information. Things I am sure the industry has known all along. As international scientific evidence has acknowledged, pools are one of the safe environments.
