25.01.2022 It’s not too late to grab yourself a DCC sound Victorian S or B class, still a few left! Busy Saturday at the Caulfield show, come drop by tomorrow and say g’day!

24.01.2022 The latest CT Elektronik order has arrived, featuring some new decoders such as the 6 pin 77z (pictured) $50ea. Surely the smallest fully functioning 6 pin on the market! Also in my order is the new and improved 76z1, 6.6 x 5.5 x 1.8mm, making it the smallest fully functioning hardwire decoder on the market. There will be a video update in the next few days on the finalised 42/S/B/GM sound project, featuring a slightly improved speaker baffle.

24.01.2022 Something exciting to begin a number of posts that are long overdue... B61 fitted with an auto-uncoupling mechanism (the loco is also sound equipped).. in N scale!! The greatest challenge I’ve given myself in N scale DCC so far!! With one push of the F1 function button the loco releases tension in the coupler, pulls the coupler to one side, and then clears the coupling. Credit is due to Rolf from PreciModels in Switzerland who helped me get this off the ground. Apologies for not posting in a fair while, I’ve been very busy over the summer period dealing with lots of 2nd hand items as well as getting through a large backlog of installations.

24.01.2022 A small taster of what will be on display at the Caulfield Exhibition in two weeks. I’m pleased to announce that I’ll have my own stand at the show, and will be displaying sound installed examples of S’, B’s, GM’s and 42’s, as well as selling a limited number of new pre-installed locos. I’ll also have available a range of CT Elektronik non-sound decoders and a few accessories

24.01.2022 An N scale 3813 fitted with a CT Elektonik 77z and 3 220uF capacitors for extra smooth operation. Completed this install a month or so ago. Feel free to enquire if you're interested in having an N scale loco converted or if you're interested in purchasing any of my decoders

23.01.2022 The last few months have been quite busy, and a lack of working sound programmer hasn’t helped either (to be replaced shortly)! The big news that I’ve been waiting to share for a while is that I have launched my own website. It’s still a work in progress but I believe the online shop is fully live and ready for purchases. Check it out here: www.bmodeltrains.com

23.01.2022 Finally our new stock of decoders arrived on Friday! This is the first of two shipments that have been long overdue. We now have limited stock of the Zimo MX616, an excellent 8x8mm nano hardwire decoder for all N scale applications, $55ea available through my website. The 6 pin version of the MX616 has already sold out and will be in stock again shortly. We also have limited stock of the MX618N18 Next18 N scale decoder, useful for the more modern locomotives equipped with the...se plugs. $47.50ea Additionally we have limited stock of the MX660 sound decoder, see my website for more information on this sound decoder. www.bmodeltrains.com

20.01.2022 Come by stand 11 and check out Victorian N scale sound installed S and B class locomotives, GM’s and 42’s also! I will have limited stock of new DCC sound S, B, GM and 42 class locos to purchase. I will also be accepting a limited number of on the spot sound installs for these locomotives, and am happy to receive locos to install and post back once complete post-exhibition. See you there!

20.01.2022 This weekend I’ll be at the AMRA Exhibition at Sydney Olympic Park, on the Gopher Models stand! Come by and say g’day, there will be decoders ($50ea) and the sound project available for purchase. Available will be pre-installed sound locos (42, S, B, GM, B61) and the ability to pass on your locomotives to have them sound installed with this project. Also available will be a wide range of nano hardwire, 6 & 8 pin decoders all at $50ea.

18.01.2022 It’s been a little while, so thought I would post a video of the progress on the 5 N scale 36’s. Really happy with how this is running, further fine tuning my processes before doing the rest. And yes my main connecting rods are upside down! Still waiting on the latest order from CT, hopefully now arriving next week for a big restock of all decoders and also some new ones!

18.01.2022 For sale: 2x Brand New ESU Lokpilot Nano 4 function 8 pin decoders - $90 + $11 post for the 2 or $50ea Purchased brand new from eBay over a year ago, was sold to me in zip lock bag with foam packing, original ESU packaging removed for easy postage. With a new order of CT decoders coming soon I've been sorting through the couple of odd bits of remaining stock I've had for a while. Only selling due to becoming a retailer of CT Elektronik decoders, purchased brand new from eBay ...over a year ago. Thanks!

18.01.2022 The real thing having recently returned to operation, here’s a stunning model of 3801 that I had the pleasure of fitting with DCC earlier this year. 3801 is fitted with a CT Elektronik 77z, they retail for $50 and are available for purchase from my website: https://bmodeltrains.com/product/ct-elektronik-77z/

17.01.2022 Thank you everyone for supporting this page, we’ve gone past 300 likes now! Rosehill is less than 2 weeks away, I’ve been working hard on a number of projects, here’s the first sneak peak of what I’ve been working on, a small display layout to showcase my sound locos. The sound project is on track (no pun intended), the hardware is all ready and I’m expecting the sound files shortly!

17.01.2022 This long weekend I’ll be at the Rosehill show sharing Stand 17 alongside Gopher Models. Come along to see my in-progress small display layout showcasing a 42/S/B/GM/B61 sound loco sample, as well as another surprise sound prototype loco The layout also features a partnership I’ve entered with Ridgepointe Rail who has provided me with an innovative DCC system. Due to increased sales of decoders and CT Elektronik being on an extended holiday I’ve got very limited stock of de...coders, and only 1 DCC non-sound 42/S/B/GM/B61 in stock. Come and drop by and say g’day! Cheers, Jarryd

15.01.2022 A recent install in a Gopher Models 930 class loco, prior to the customer painting. Fitted a decoder and keep alive. The results of the keep alive can be seen in the excellent low speed crawl of the loco, and headlights not flickering. This was achieved by only adding 660uF of capacitance to the decoder/loco setup.

14.01.2022 Hope everyone’s been able to enjoy a little more modelling time at the moment! A mate of mine recently finished two BadgerBits K classes, both of which I fitted with custom keep alive setups. Here’s a video of one running on his impressive layout demonstrating the incredible result of the keep alive. Check out the B class with the custom advertising vans also! Credit to the owner of the layout for the video

13.01.2022 Come down and say g’day at stand 17 Rosehill Train Show. I’ve got a DCC sound installed NSW 48 class (125th livery) running a test sound file!

10.01.2022 If you didn’t know, I’m a big fan of NSW Steam! Working on some 36 class kits from Badger Bits for myself and a loyal customer. These will all eventually be running DCC, and maybe with a hint of sound! Stay tuned for some more exciting projects...

09.01.2022 I’m pleased to announce that the S/B/42/GM sound project is ready, and undergoing it’s final user testing, kindly being undertaken by members of the VNSC. The video details the sound sequence of throttling up and down the prime mover and horns available, in this case for a B class. I’ve already started taking locos to have the project fitted, the cost is $180 per loco, which includes the decoder, speaker with custom enclosure, 660uf custom keep alive, and all programming etc. Feel free to drop me a message here or contact [email protected] or 0430 460 985

08.01.2022 Couple of quick announcements... Firstly I’m excited to announce I’ll be attending the Caulfield show in Melbourne, last weekend in August. Second, the sound project for the 42, S, B, GM, B61 is close to being ready, this will be available and on sale at the Caulfield show in new locos and for install.... Third, CT Elektronik has returned from some time off with another new decoder, the 76z1, 6.6mm x 5.5mm x 1.8mm, their smallest decoder yet totalling 36.3mm^2. The previous smallest decoder, 77z, is pictured below. I will be stocking some of these when my next shipment arrives shortly Lastly, with the new shipment of CT decoders on its way, we’ll have back in stock the full range of CT nano hardwire and 6 pin decoders, all $50ea

07.01.2022 Hope everyone is enjoying some nice time at home to spend with each other in person or remotely! Presents a nice opportunity to do some modelling also! Here's an F class I fitted with a custom keep alive setup recently for a valued customer in Victoria. It was able to make a debut with the new keep alive setup at the Sandown show earlier this year, showing off it's new shunting potential!
