23.01.2022 Here we go- my first "blog entry" ever (woop woop ) : Ever wondered why the distance between your birthdays as a kid seemed FOREVER and now you find yourself sleepwalking through life, functioning on autopilot and wondering where all this time in the last decade went? Blame it on the little devil named: Routine . Routine is the enemy of time. It makes it fly by! ... When you’re a kid, everything is astonishing, everything is new: you learn how to ride a bike, read, write and swim within one year. And so your brain is awake and turned on to learn something new - every passing second! As you get older and your brain has figured out the pattern of how the world works: this is how you go to work every day, this is how you do your job, this is how you make love, this is where you do your grocery shopping - once our brain establishes a routine- the alertness, the fascination with how the world works goes away. The difference is, however: When you’re a kid, everything is new by nature, you don’t have to work for it, you’re just astonished by it. When you’re an adult: It is a CHOICE. You chose routine or adventure for your own life. vs So my message is THIS: This video is not all about a random stranger’s crazy bike ride. And my journey is not all about ticking goals on a freaking Bucket List. It is about the importance to step out of our routine. This can be as big or as small as anything. By all that I don’t mean quitting your job, hiking Machu Picchu etc. : It is taking a new way to work, cooking something you have never cooked before, being a tourist in your own city, trying out that restaurant you’re passing by every day and never go inside, get up to watch the sunrise, learning 5 new words of another language each day, signing up for these dancing/yoga/crossfit classes you always wanted to take... Do something that fascinates your brain! Be aware of every day you’re alive so that even if you make it to your 80 squares - your brain is so EXHAUSTED because you have been alive and awake every single day! Now that you got 2.880 minutes of weekend ahead of you- make the most out of your time and #tickitb4ukickit Nini
