23.01.2022 Today we celebrated Diwali by making lovely lights with the children. Diwali is the Hindu Festival of Lights. The word Diwali means Row off Lamps Typically during Diwali, households light dozens on little clay lamps called Diyas to symbolise the light over dark. 22.01.2022 In our toddler room at Buckets Bentleigh, we put together a sensory table which depicts the indigenous culture. We had Dreamtime story time symbols which were painted on rocks. The children were able to use their fingers to trace the pattern into the red sand. These Symbols are used by Aboriginal people in their art to preserve their culture and tradition.
