23.01.2022 Buck Knives is excited to partner with Taylor Guitars, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of premium acoustic guitars, and take part in their efforts using a sustainable supply model for genuine ebony handles on our key heritage products, the 110 Folding Hunter, the 112 Ranger, and the 101 Hunter. Ebony wood was originally introduced on the 110 and 112 models in the 1960’s, but in the 1990’s, federal regulations on endangered woods led Buck to utilise a resin treated wood. Harvested under Taylor’s thriving conservation project, Buck now employs the use of ebony, a natural material with beautiful grain patterns that provides customers with a nearly indestructible knife handle.

20.01.2022 Hoyt Buck's first knife: the 119; made from a worn-out file blade in 1902 was a fixed blade. The U.S. Government requested blade donations for the military after the attack on Pearl Harbor. It is then, in the basement of a church in 1942, that Hoyt Buck began making knives by hand.
