15.01.2022 Our Bushfire Story - Part 5 Yes, there was a fire at Kangaloola, but it's a "fire in the heart" of Glenda Elliott. Her love for wildlife, burned longer and stro...nger than the raging bushfire in the forest in 2003. Nowadays, we have a dedicated 20,000L water tank and petrol pump connected to a heavy duty pipe and sprinkler system on the roof to turn the place into a swimming pool in the event of a bushfire. Since those days, we have the new Code-Red rating which is a game changer, so the risk of bushfire is still very real and very dangerous. Kangaloola is not going anywhere, and we have more animals than ever before, so we do have a request to make. If you want to support our work, please go to www.kangaloolawildlifeshelter.org.au and click on 'Donations Page'. Click on the yellow DONATE button. You can choose PAYPAL or make a direct deposit or even send a cheque if you prefer. The animals will thank you, as will we.
