22.01.2022 Yummy peanut butter and coconut balls - Good for you too :) 1 cup dessicated coconut 1 cup medjool dates 1/2 cup organic peanut butter... 1/2 crushed walnuts or nut of choice 1 cup rolled oats (can substitute almond meal) 1 large banana mashed 1/4 cup chia seeds 1/2 cup pumpkins seeds 1/4 cup coconut oil extra dessicated coconut for rolling (optional 1 tablespoon protein powder) In a food processor, add dates, nuts, seeds and process until desired consistency. Transfer to a bowl and add in all other ingredients well. Form into small balls and roll in coconut (can roll in shredded coconut or sesame or chia seeds for a different taste and look) Store in refrigerator and enjoy.

19.01.2022 Simple egg bread 6 egg whites 4 egg yolks pinch salt ... 1/2 cup pureed vegetables 1. Beat egg whites with salt until firm 2. Blend together the yolks and pureed vegetables until liquefied 3. Fold yolks into whites and spread into a paper lined baking tray 4. Bake at 150 degrees Celcius for 30 minutes 5. While still hot from the oven, use a flat spatula to remove the bread from the sides of the dish and turn it out. 6. Separate it from the paper on the bottom and return it to the dish bottom side up. Bake this side for an additional 10 minutes 7. Remove from the oven and let cool then slice into 8 slices. Refrigerate

13.01.2022 Have you wormed your kids lately? Did you know that pinworm is prolific among children attending day care and school. It can cause diarrhoea, fatigue, irritability, loss of appetite, restlessness, lack of sleep, itchy bottom, stomach cramps and weight loss. 12.01.2022 We love these Zucchini Fritters and they are just as nice the next day served with tzatziki 500 g (17 1/2 oz) zucchini 1 cup (150 g / 5 1/4 oz) green peas 1 bunch parsley chopped (60 g/ 2 oz)... 1 bunch mint chopped (20 g / 3/4 oz) 4 spring onions, sliced good pinch sea salt generous grind of black pepper zest from 1 lemon 3 eggs cup (50 g/ 1 3/4 oz) almond meal (see notes on alternatives) Grate the zucchini and place into a colander. Sprinkle with a little sea salt and mix through. (not too much salt just a nice pinch) Sit for 10 minutes. Squeeze out all the moisture from the zucchini with your hands I like to grab handfuls and squeeze out as much liquid as I can. Place the zucchini into a large bowl. Add parsley, mint, peas, spring onion, pepper, lemon zest, eggs and almond meal or the other alternative flours if using. Mix well until combined. At this stage it’s good to test cook a fritter to make sure it holds together well. Add a touch more almond meal or alternative flour if you need it. Cook fritters in a pan over a medium heat in a little olive oil for 2 minutes each side or until cooked through. Serve and Enjoy. Makes 12 fritters

Rather than compile an endless list of what you should avoid, it's far easier to focus on what you should do to lead a healthy lifestyle with as minimal a chemical exposure as possible: 1. As much as possible, buy and eat organic produce and free-range, organic foods to reduce your exposure to pesticides and fertilizers.... 2. Rather than eating conventional or farm-raised fish, which are often heavily contaminated with PCBs and mercury, supplement with a high-quality purified krill oil, or eat fish that is wild-caught and lab tested for purity. 3. Eat mostly raw, fresh foods, steering clear of processed, prepackaged foods of all kinds. This way you automatically avoid artificial food additives, including dangerous artificial sweeteners, food coloring and MSG. 4. Store your food and beverages in glass rather than plastic, and avoid using plastic wrap and canned foods (which are often lined with BPA-containing liners). 5. Have your tap water tested and, if contaminants are found, install an appropriate water filter on all your faucets (even those in your shower or bath). 6. Only use natural cleaning products in your home. 7. Switch over to natural brands of toiletries such as shampoo, toothpaste, antiperspirants and cosmetics. 8. Avoid using artificial air fresheners, dryer sheets, fabric softeners or other synthetic fragrances. 9. Replace your non-stick pots and pans with ceramic or glass cookware. 10. Limit your use of drugs (prescription and over-the-counter) as much as possible. Drugs are chemicals too, and they will leave residues and accumulate in your body over time. 11. Avoid spraying pesticides around your home or insect repellants that contain DEET on your body. There are safe, effective and natural alternatives out there. See more
