25.01.2022 This is officially the 133rd Budgeree Hall Christmas Tree. She’s all lit up and sparkling about tonight’s online event. We wouldn’t let a global pandemic stop us holding the biggest event on the Budgeree Social calendar, so we have gone virtual. Starting at 7:30pm, right here on the Budgeree Hall fb page with Duenna singing our favourite carols followed by the big man in red himself. at 8pm. 24.01.2022 We have good news and bad news. Bad news first. The Budgeree Christmas Tree will not be held this year due to Covid restrictions. The GOOD news is you can still join in on line and on Facebook live. We will live stream the beautiful voices of Duenna singing carols and a visit from Santa. Parents if you would like Santa to say a special hello to your child/children PM us with the message and names. Date Friday December 4 Time Duenna from 7:30pm Santa at 8pm. 10.01.2022 This is a very important meeting on the lead smelter proposed for Hazelwood Nth. If you wish to address Council in relation to this matter, you can do so by registering to speak. Registrations to speak need to be provided to Council via email to [email protected] before 12 noon on the day of the Special Council meeting.

08.01.2022 We are so excited that the Budgeree Hall has received one of the prestigious 79 Australia Post Mental Health Community Grants offered nationwide. This grant is aimed at building the connection and mental well being in our community. Our project Budger-Tea, Where every great change starts with a conversation amongst people who care, focuses on staying in touch with our friends and neighbours reminding us that social isolation does not have to lead to loneliness. Budgere...e-Tea is a weekly afternoon tea held at the Budgeree Hall where anyone can come along for a cuppa, a chat, to share a skill, or just enjoy being with others. The grant also includes accredited Mental Health First Aid training provided by Lifeline Gippsland for 25 community members. We know a mental health literate community is it’s own best safety net and builds resilient communities. We are hoping to commence Budger-Tea in February 2021.
