16.01.2022 Other than our feet our hands are kind of the workhorses of our bodies - constantly tapping away on our keyboards, swiping and scrolling on our phones (according to some estimates, the average person scrolls the height of Mount Everest in a year ). It's no surprise we build up a lot of tension that needs releasing. Hand massage is beneficial for easing pain, increasing hand strength and reducing feelings of stress and anxiety. So grab a hand cream or massage oil and take fi...ve! Step 1: Start at the fingertips, pressing firmly with your index finger and thumb on the tip of each finger. Step 2: Next, slowly work down the sides of each finger top to bottom Step 3: Moving to the webbed parts between your fingers, glide up and down between the bones with a firm pressure. Repeat between each finger. Step 4: Flip that hand over and using your thumb massage in circular motions the centre of your hand. Step 5: Move down to the heel of your hand and knead firmly into the fleshy part towards your thumb. Step 6: Shifting up to the webbed space between your thumb and index finger apply a firm, kneading pressure. Step 7: Moving to the base of your wrist, work your way up your forearm with circular kneading motion using your thumb. Step 8: Finally, grab your fingers and gently stretch your hand backwards for a wrist stretch. Shake it out and repeat.
