You need to picture your proposed business in two, three, five, and 10 years time to determine if your product or service would still be relevant. This is the reason why I stick with evergreen niche businesses. Never run after trends and fads beca...use those can disappear overnight. If you are confident that your idea will continue to be relevant, will remain the best answer to your customers’ problems, and will continue to bring in more revenue for your business in the years ahead, then you have a great one under your belt. . . . . #Entrepreneurminds #entrepreneurship101 #entrepreneurspirit#entrereneurjourney #entrepreneurinspiration#entrepreneursuccess #entrepreneurwoman #entrepreneurwomen #womenentrepreneur #smallbusinesscoach #smallbusinessaustralia #smallbusinesswomen #smallbusinessgrowth #buildgrowrun #byron #byronbaybusiness #Entrepreneurminds #entrepreneurship101 #entrepreneurspirit #entrepreneurjourney #entrepreneurinspiration #entrepreneursuccess #entrepreneurwoman #entrepreneurwomen #womenentrepreneur See more

21.01.2022 () Manage your emotions, make sure everybody has a say, keep your meetings short, focused, offer refreshments and have an agenda. If it was that simple, surely meetings would be more effective? Yet they are not, . Yet for most leaders, meetings are so important they spend 15 per cen...t (or more) of their personnel budget on them. So, why don’t they work, why are they not productive? That was the focus of the research by organisational psychologist Linda Shanock and her colleagues at the University of North Carolina. ' '. That is they do not show genuine emotional reactions, they manage their responses. They suggest that many meeting attendees do not benefit from meetings and the need to surface act can put some teams at risk of burnout. Whilst the concept of is not new and is seen to be beneficial in some areas such as sales, previous research in customer services has shown it to contribute to psychological and physical fatigue as employees forced themselves to show emotions they do not feel. Board Meetings or critical meetings, whilst not as public as customer-service situations, encourage surface acting. Meeting attendees see meetings as having the potential to affect their success outside the meeting, especially when leaders are perceived to favour those who are more outspoken and participative. 19.01.2022 The way to gain more profit? - simply do the right thing! A new report has highlighted the economic benefit to be derived from lifting ethical standards and suggested doing so could lead to an unwinding of the regulatory restraints that increase the cost of service across industries. The Ethical Advantage report, released by Deloitte and commissioned by The Ethics Centre, attempts to quantify the effect of ethical improvement and concludes that lifting trust levels in Aust...ralia to that of countries like Sweden would increase GDP by $45 billion, wages by 2.7 per cent and mental health by one per cent. So what do you need to do???? Build an ETHICAL INFRASTRUCTURE - include formal factors such as codes of conduct, whistleblowing systems and ethics leadership, while informal factors would encompass leadership tone, ethical role modelling and speak-up cultures. BUT without the intent and the want to do this, it’s useless, so make sure you have an intent to do the right thing! See more

15.01.2022 Not all bosses want to be led. Some fear their authority will be undermined. Others are so insecure that leadership from below is a threat that must be stamped out at all cost. These obstacles shouldn’t prevent you from trying to ‘lead or manage’ your boss, when appropriate. Observe the following guidelines: . Build your arguments with evidence. Make sure your research is on point.... . Before presenting your ideas to your boss, find people who can play ‘devil’s advocate’ and explore your assumptions. ’ . Just because there’s a link between two issues doesn’t mean one provoked the other. In some cases, all of the best data in the world won’t convince your boss that you’re right. If he/she is a ‘jerk’ or a ‘dickhead’, he/she’s probably insecure. He/She acts tough because he/she’s afraid of losing his/her job and control over others. Dickhead bosses cannot be reasoned with, so don’t even try. You can roll over, fight back or leave. Choose wisely. #Entrepreneurminds #entrepreneurship101 #entrepreneurspirit #entrereneurjourney See more

11.01.2022 Next up on our 8 Questions for Evaluating the Profit Potential, " ?" Although most business ideas seek to solve certain problems, only great and promising ideas do it in a way that is less expensive than what the market will endure. Once you are convinced that your business idea solves one or more problems, you still need to determine not only the value that it delivers, but also what people would be willing to pay for that value. If your proposition is... badly priced, your customers will be decidedly unenthusiastic about buying from you. So make sure you look at your potential customers’ spending habits and earning power to determine how much they will be willing to pay and how often they will buy. Here are other factors you should consider when fixing your product price. Being a new player in the market, you would need to start out by offering your product or service at prices that would give your rivals sleepless nights. This is one of the strategies you can use to quickly attract customers to your business. If your costs are too high, you will find it hard to break into the market, and you won’t make any profit. So, start small and keep your overhead to the possible minimum. A good example of an entrepreneur that used this strategy successfully was Henry Ford. Henry Ford was not the first car manufacturer, neither was his car design the most beautiful. Before the coming of Henry Ford, cars were exclusively for the rich. But Henry Ford came with a mission To Democratize the Automobile and make it readily available for the masses. Today, the Ford Motors Corporation is a billion-dollar company. Thanks to just one smart pricing strategy. #marketingstrategy #marketinghelp #marketing101 #marketingideas #marketingstrategies

07.01.2022 Coaching is a process that aims to improve performance and focuses on the 'here and now' rather than on the distant past or future. I help my clients in the coaching program to learn rather than teaching them. There is a huge difference between teaching someone and helping them to learn. Coaching, as I see it, is about unlocking a person’s potential to maximize their own performance. I very much believe that the people I coach have the answers to their challenges a...nd opportunities. As a coach, I am not a subject expert, but rather I am focused on helping people unlock their own potential. The focus is very much on you and what is inside your head! Coaching works really well if you take the time to develop a solid relationship with the coaching professional. It’s my objective to motivate you and hold you accountable for achieving your goals. From an outside standpoint, as a business coach I may be able to see areas of concern that you are not able to discern.
