Heres the link to the entire bulletin and I have copied the best bit below......Imagine having mandatory inspections like the rest of the world has. THIS IS PROGRESS for Western Australia and will only help home owners with their biggest asset. It is just one of many improvements that Building and Energy expects to deliver in the coming months. Other initiatives in the pipeline include reviews of building approval processes for residential and commercial construction, including the introduction of mandatory inspections, as well as improvements to the occupational registration scheme for builders and registration of engineers.

20.01.2022 Each year DMIRS - Building & Energy selects a number of builders to audit and these are chosen on a random and targeted basis. If you ever notice anything strange happening to your home like doors not shutting that used to, bath water not running out, window glass cracking without impact from a football etc;, floor tiles suddenly popping up or the cracking of walls always contact a professional who can either help you or point you in the right direction of experts in the field.
