As part of our Site Safety Plan BRS installed over 500 l/m of Temporary Rooftop Handrail to our work areas and also installed Scaffold Access Towers to gain access to areas on different rooftop levels, ensuring residents were not inconvenienced by the need for access through their units/home. Over 2000m2 of dated and failed rooftop coatings were removed back to bare concrete and prepared for the installation of an Ardex Polyurethane Waterproofing System Shout out to Integrity Project Management, Ephraim Island Management, All Stripped Demolition, Ardex and the BRS Waterproofing and Access Teams. 04.01.2022 WINDOW REPLACEMENT ON THE GOLD COAST The Gold Coast has some of the most spectacular rainforests, beaches and views in the world. Building Rectification Services have for many years been a major contractor in the field of window replacement service and also door replacement, using the safest and least invasive methods to carry out all of their works. However, living close to the beach comes with some negatives, especially for our buildings. Although seemingly insignificant, i...ts a big deal if your windows and doors have deteriorated to the point that they no longer meet the current Australian Standards. Occasionally we can see the obvious signs of deterioration, such as framework corrosion, window frame rust, perished rubbers/seals, stubborn winders and rusty handles. Left in this state, corrosion to framework can sometimes lead to windows and doors falling from the building. The old fixings quite often rust away in a high-risk situation, becoming very dangerous. This also applies to deteriorated seals and gaskets that can allow water ingress to your unit; this cannot be overlooked or ignored as it can lead to more serious problems, including; severe water damage, a build-up of mould inside the unit as well as rust/damaged to your furniture and appliances. There is also a high risk of Falling Objects whilst carrying out Building Maintenance and other repairs such as Concrete Repair, especially on High-rise buildings.... As part of our risk assessment and a 4th level of containment for falling objects; it was decided to install a Debris net over the footpath to protect and allow Pedestrians and emergency vehicles access to still walk/ drive underneath instead of fully closing off the area.
