24.01.2022 This renovation at Dulwich by Black Rabbit Architecture + Interiors and Steve Gibson Homes is nearing completion, and is looking great. The owners are very excited to be moving back into their home which has now been restored to its full potential. BuildPartners provided administrative and contract support services to the builder including preparing the successful tender bid, calculating the progress claims each month and maintaining the variations register thoughout the project.

16.01.2022 Do any of my friends use Google Earth or Google Maps regularly for work or business? Nearmap is similar, but has much higher resolution aerial photography. You ...can zoom in much closer, and you can go back in time to see site history, better lighting conditions, etc. It still uses Street View by Google, which means you get the best of both worlds. I currently have a subscription, but it is fairly expensive and I am looking for a few people to share access / costs. For one user it is $200/PM incl. GST (which is their entry level package) but I have only been using 50MB on average out of a 250MB plan. It is great for builders, tradespeople, real estate agents, property managers, valuers, architects and designers, etc. Anyone that already uses Google Maps or Google Earth regularly, or who would benefit from high resolution aerial photography. The resolution is so good that it will minimise the number of site visits you need to do, which is great if you are preparing a quote, etc. The subscription I have has unlimited licences, but it has a cap of 250MB per month. I am looking to share with up to 5 people depending on their likely usage. Alternatively, if someone else already has a subscription, I would like to discuss sharing your account and contributing my share of usage, etc. Please contact me for more info, or for a demo. 13.01.2022 BuildPartners have been working with Steve Gibson Homes on these stylish new townhouses at Glenelg North. We provided the pre-construction estimates and project specification, liaised with the client on their selections and potential cost savings, established the building contract - and now during construction, we are providing ongoing contract management and other technical administrative services. This means that Steve is free to manage the site, whilst we take care of the... numbers and other details in the background. The external cladding has recently been completed and work is about to get started on the inside. The owner is keeping one to live in, and selling the other one. Every custom project has its challenges, because its the first and last one to be built. There is a learning curve on each project. There are a huge number of variables between buildings themselves, not to mention the site they are built on, the council who has authority, the financial arrangements and the clients expectations. Despite all these things, practical design, planning ahead, regular communication and good organisation means that the client is extremely happy with the quality and progress so far.
