15.01.2022 Well what a milestone today April 8th. 34 years training in martial arts. The amount of hours and hard work all pay off. The amount of times I've gotten in trouble just so I can go to training. Some people don't understand martial arts is a lifestyle. It's a way of life. Ranks - 2nd dan taekwondo. 3rd dan Bujinkan budo taijutsu . Professor in capoeira. 6th gup (orange belt) tangsoodo. It's been an amazing journey. I'd love to thank all my teachers for giving their knowledge and helping when times got tough and I thought I couldn't make it.

11.01.2022 Well, some have already started to announce they won't be following the guidance of the new Soke that have been announced. What follows should be..... Interesting to say the least.

01.01.2022 An important kuden transmitted by Soke during a Honbu class a few years ago comes to mind. After choosing various high ranking exponents as uke, Soke delivered... extremely painful kosshijutsu to their digits and faces. Many attempted to struggle free or try and stop him. I was chosen next and experienced excruciating pain under his skill and mastery, but I did not try and escape or evade the experience. Soke stood me up with his hand on my shoulder and said I can do this on Duncan because he trusts me. For those prior, it was a lesson. Their actions showed Soke that they were not ready to experience such techniques. Regardless if it was conscious or not, their body language proved this as they fought to avoid his teachings. I remember Nagato Sensei saying that to be Soke’s uke is an honour! Soke is transmitting Budo at levels that will push our capacities to the extremes. We must as uke be ready to die for him. That is, understand your role as uke. Your role is to die. This in turn teaches you to let go of yourself. You learn to free yourself from fear of injury or defeat and enter the world of sutemi. If you relinquish yourself to a greater power, you can go beyond yourself and your limitations. But first, you must open your heart and trust. Soke is teaching us about nature. If we fight against him, we are fighting against the very art we wish to learn. See more
