13.01.2022 Intercultural community art project, Bukjeh, are seeking art and craft donations to create children’s craft kits for families facing hard lockdown in Melbourne. Unfortunately, due to the current stage three restrictions around COVID-19, Bukjeh cannot facilitate accepting donations from individuals. So they are seeking local businesses who may be able to donate and deliver materials to the project hub. However, once restrictions ease we will open up for individual donations so... please set aside any materials you can donate. Things businesses can donate: colored paints of any size/vessel brushes, glue, scissors clay or ant plaster bags coloring books craft kits white and coloured paper, textas, crayons, pencils, glitter, felt, etc containers with lids To enquire about how a business can get involved please contact Bukjeh.

12.01.2022 The stories we Tell

06.01.2022 This is one of the most beautiful stories that happened to me.. Many years ago, I started the first group of fingerprint in my community. One day, we decided to visit the cancer children’s patients in Jerusalem hospitals, around Eid time.. the most emotional part was, the story I am going to share with you It was my first week driving, so so excited I borrowed my auntie’s 7 seat big car, that I could hardly handle, and had 4 girls in the back, which I shouldn’t do and drove... around the city knocking doors of shops and stores asking for donations, some gave us things and other filled the car petrol but one woman was exceptional and I will never forget her face! I remember that the girls left the car and came back in less than 1 minutes.. they could not believe what they heard so that wanted my approval, she said, you can take everything you can see and I won’t stop you.. it was not any place, all the clothes were very fancy and the cheapest was $100, so I parked the car, very badly, and went to speak to the owner, I said auntie, can you please tell the girls, what do you exactly want them to take? I did, she said.. and cried.. I know what cancer does to children I want to help, even if you leave this place empty, I won’t stop you. I stood their speechless and gave her a strong hug, she did not let me take a photo of her or the donations, but for sure her face is not to forget I said how can you trust us, she said you can tell the passion on your face. Our time in the hospitals was hard to explain so we went there again to show her the happiness on children’s faces and that made her proud, for me, i was even proud to know such people exist in this world. This photo of donations is today at Bunnings from the beautiful Debbie, and you can find the video of Jerusalem in the first comment
