"Inner south land jumps: Land valuations in inner-southside suburbs saw significant rises with Balmoral, Coorparoo and #Bulimba among the highest jumps in the city. Hawthorne remained the southsides most expensive suburb, up 5.1 per cent to a median of $830,000.... Bulimba though was up 11.8 per cent to $760,000 and West End 9.7 per cent to $790,000. The new median value of residential land in Brisbane is $455,000, up from $425,000. Queenslands Valuer-General Neil Bray said the valuations showed values in the Brisbane City Council area had increased by as much as 6.8 per cent since its last valuation in 2017. Residential land values have risen in the majority of suburbs across Brisbane, with most reflecting a minor increase of between 5 and 15 per cent, Mr Bray said. The new valuations become effective on June 30. Teneriffe was the citys most expensive neighbourhood with a median value of $1 million, after values jumped 9.9 per cent. The biggest changes on the southside were Rocklea, devastated in the 2011 flood, up 31 per cent on 2016 valuations to $275,000 and Woolloongabba up 26.1 per cent to $580,000."
