21.01.2022 Today we had the pleasure of working on this 1940’s Jaguar MK V. The car has plenty of history, previously owned by a pimp and part of the Fitzgerald inquiry. You don’t see vehicles like this everyday that’s for sure!

21.01.2022 Don’t let your diesel get to the point of building this much sludge in the intake manifolds. Not only does it restrict your motors efficiency, it has the potential to cause a lot of damage. This is prevented by doing upper cylinder cleans when getting your car serviced!

20.01.2022 Don’t let your break pads wear down to the point where it’s metal on metal on the disc rotor! Not only will it cost you more but more importantly it’s dangerous!

16.01.2022 Honoured to take out number 1 spot as Brisbane’s Best Mechanic, years of hard work does pay off and a big thankyou to everyone for their support, means the world! https://www.couriermail.com.au//4fd6f5acfc7edd494da9acbf9e

16.01.2022 today a vehicle with 160,000kms came in for a service and we had discovered that nothing has been changed since it was brand new (due to the customers instructions). Doing this will cause other components to prematurely wear and it will end up costing you a lot more in the long run!

12.01.2022 These little guys can cause all sorts of problems in cars. They tend to get attracted to the engines of cars as your car engine could provide a tempting nest. Rodents use the insulating fabric in the engine as bedding for nests. The downside, they chew everything they can, especially wiring which creates all sorts of electrical issues.

11.01.2022 Don’t forget to replace your cabin filters. Cabin filters clean the air that runs through your air conditioning vents removing dust, pollen, smog and in this case, leaves

09.01.2022 Disc rotors are an important part for your braking system to work efficiently. These disc rotors are off an Audi Q3 which are notorious for wearing the rotors in the middle leaving a 1-3mm lip on the edges. This causes the brake pad to mainly touch on the edges and not get full contact on the rotor which can result in a soft brake pedal, possible brake shutter and in extreme cases insufficient braking!

08.01.2022 Anything is possible... give us a call for your performance desires!

08.01.2022 This is the outcome from not changing the oil during the life of the vehicle. Oils have a viscosity and over time it starts to lose its minerals and become thinner. Moving components start to bind and this is the outcome

04.01.2022 When your car doesn’t go into gear there’s a possibility this has happened! This is a rare circumstance, the spigot bearing has seized on the input shaft of the gearbox and has caused an absolute headache! The team at Bulimba Service Centre got the job done and returned a drivable car to the happy customer just in time for the weekend!

02.01.2022 At Bulimba Service Centre we service and cater for all types of vehicles including the European performance ranges. 02.01.2022 Just because you buy a car with a valid roadworthy certificate does not mean there’s nothing wrong with it... Today a customer came in with a Toyota Hiace van he bought 2 weeks ago and the road worthy certificate he got with the vehicle that was issued on 4/2/20 as something didn’t feel right.. Upon inspection we found all sorts of problems which still puzzles me as to how it got a roadworthy. These issues consisted of; structural rust (holes in the structural parts of the ...vehicle) braking system failure, excessive oil leaks, cracked tyres, play in the steering, completely flogged out suspension and about 20 other issues.. Unfortunately for the customer he is out of pocket thousands of dollars and I can’t imagine it being an easy process getting his money back. A pre purchase inspection is recommended when buying vehicles just as an extra piece of mind that you’re buying a genuinely safe car. Unfortunately it is situations like this, that cause customers to lose trust in this industry!
