Even though Bulldog Theatre Company are not the producers I still feel a little nervous knowing that our baby is going to the big screen. 08.01.2022 It is the 10TH ANNIVERSARY of performing the Alex & Eve series. Not in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine back in 2006 when we staged this "little" story, we ...would be celebrating 10 years of performing it. It was rejected by every theatre company in Sydney some 11 years ago -- and I mean every theatre company -- with the most common response, "it wasnt funny enough." As we rehearse for our 10 year anniversary season opening 25th August, the cast has been reminiscing on the past 10 years, telling fun war stories of what has been an incredible journey. We have shared countless incredible memories with our audiences inside the the theatre -- memories, that are indescribable. As we perform the Alex & Eve series one last time, (or so we keep saying), a you tube tribute to the past 10 years. 06.01.2022 It is with sadness to learn that one half (Jenny Souris) of the M&J Chickens team has passed on. We are in shock. Minas and Jenny began supporting Bulldog Theatre from way back in 2008. Their generosity and love and support for us and the shows we put on was endless. Put simply: there is no way we could have survived without their support. During each show we would be nervous on the night Jenny would attend one of our shows, hoping she would enjoy it. We are really saddened... by this news and pass on our condolences to the Souris family. 01.01.2022 DEAR Alex & Eve The Movie FANS I NEED A FAVOUR FROM YOU It is our 10th anniversary and you have supported every show we have put on the past 10 years. Our latest show is our most daring one yet, a musical, one we believe has the potential to be the next great musical. Often people promoting shows say, "tickets selling fast, book before you miss out." For this show, tickets are NOT selling fast. I have spoken to a few of you and the response is, "I'm not a fan of musicals." Fa...ir enough. This is where I need a favour from you: A CALL TO ARMS of sorts. For most of you, in the past 10 years we have received lovely messages about all of the shows we have put on. You have come to trust our brand. We ask that you extend your trust for this show, even though you may not like musicals. We will NOT let you down. I understand we all have busy lives but for this show, I politely ask you go out of your way, rally your friends, make that extra effort to get a group together and come and see this show. Tickets are only $25. Are we desperate? Yes. We have a great show and we are desperate to perform it you. OUR GOAL We have 4 days till the show opens. Thousands and thousands of you have seen the Alex & Eve stage shows and the Alex & Eve movie. Our goal is to sell 300 tickets between now and Thursday night. We need you. It's that simple.
