01.01.2022 Here's what I think is a perfect example of how much basic double glazing and minimum insulation can potentially add to your home's comfort. This is a conditioned air space of 21 degrees external air of approx 13 degrees. Photos are taken in adjacent rooms. Top photo is an aluminium single glazed 4mm glass window and completely uninsulated brick veneer walls. Bottom photo is a timber double glazed 4mm glass- 12mm space - 4mm glass, sisalation wrap and R2 fibreglass insulation.
